Scott AueParticipantAs Keifer has stated, some of CNS was a product of his experience with Dr. DiPasquale's Anabolic Diet. Having used that diet, I remember that with heavy carb weekends, you tended to look best late Tuesday or Wednesday because the bloating dissipated and your definition started to come back, BUT with nice fullness in the muscles as well. This has made me wonder if fat loss is hampered the first day or so after CN's due to the carbs/glucose still remaining in the body? If so, would post-CN cardio or HIIT aid in getting fat burning on track quicker for the week by burning off some of that CN glucose? Thanks.

billnycParticipantI thought I heard Keifer say in a podcast somewhere that your leptin is elevated the day following a carb nite. High leptin combined with low insulin levels causes a lot of fatty acids to leave fat cells. Is this true?

Yes, this is true. Liver glycogen can come into play as another fuel source the body will primarily use if you eat too many carbs but I am not sure how long liver glycogen stores last.

Richard SchmittModeratorThe most recent podcast (one of the most recent), Kiefer mentions that Liver Glycogen empties overnight, depending on the amount I believe.

He or Rocky also said it could take some people days to deplete liver glycogen.

Scope75GuestAnd it could depend more on the individual than the amount too so that's why you have to dial in and try everything out for yourself. Would be nice if it was one size fits all but its not. Lol

Yes this would be quite nice. Not even "One Size Fits ____" covers works that way. It's "One Size Fits Most" haha
