Richard SchmittModeratorUhm I would NOT be concerned with any form of dieting while pregnant or sick.

RoadblockParticipantDefinately save the diet until the baby is born, then she can have fun dropping all the baby weight!RB

FairyGuestI disagree with the people saying not to diet.DO DIET. Diet for optimal health. Have a look at this diet: BulletproofExec.com

FairyGuestWell, I would be concerned if she was doing a low cal or low fat diet! That could damage the baby! The Bulletproof Diet will enhance the health of the baby, and help her to lose fat, and you can learn about how CN works and apply some principles of it to enhance these effects.

THIS!She should also keep with low-impact exercise, if she is exercising.ย Resistance training is fine, just don't go overboard.Cory

Richard SchmittModeratorWell the majority member seem to eat in a low cal manner. Thus why I said not the be concerned with dieting. But two each is their own.

RoadblockParticipantThe question from the OP was if his wife could do CNS, to which I said please do not. I didn't say not to diet at all.RB

Jonathan WhalenParticipantI can't imagine my wife having followed any kind of strict eating regimen during her two pregnancies. I probably wouldn't be alive if she triedย ๐She'll be eating for two. I could be very wrong, but I can't see CNS providing the variety of nutrients that is recommended. That's a very unscientific opinion, and CNS could very well be nutritional enough if you paid very close attention, but why risk it? This isn't a time to skimp on anything healthy, be it carbs and certainly not calories (I'm not suggesting she goes to town on pasta and other grains either).Bulletproof is quite similar to Paleo, and likely has a much better nutritional profile than the standard American diet. I don't see anything wrong with that, personally. She'll have plenty of time after the baby is born to lose the baby weight and then some, if necessary. Especially if she nurses.Congratulations!Jon

Damon AmatoParticipantI had multiple nights getting McDonald's French fries at 2am and pizza for lunch six days in a row. If you want to try to diet while pregnant, good luck. For your own sanity I don't recommend trying too terribly hard.
