Okay so I hit the Gym today on day 7 of my prep phase and was trying out a few parts of Shockwave I got as far as 3×8 Dead Lifts  followed by Squats 5×3, It was during the last set of squats (which was almost at failure)  I started too feel all the colour drain from me and started to feel really hot and dizzy , I'm guessing this was my body going Hypoglycemic? This feeling lasted for about an hour and I felt very panicky (untill I took 25 grams of Isolate which seemed to even me out!)My question's are: will my Central nervous system have took a hit? and should I give the training a rest now until my prep phase is over?

You could take a break with training if you wanted, though SW shouldn't be that taxing. What was your set up like?

before I started my prep phase I squatted 70KG for around 3×8, but today I squatted 80KG for 5×3 right after warming up dead lifting 80kg so both where personal bests for me, which leads me to thinking that maybe it over done it.  Im 5″6' and aged 35 and weight 150lbMy diet today was  a.m accelerator shake on wake up, bacon and eggs at 11am roast chicken leg with greek salad and  2 tbn's of olive oil, plus Ignition Formula before. the only thing that I thought was weird was that today i gave the Sustainer formula a try, which I promtly downed after a couple of tastes just before I started my squats, I wonder could the insulin response coupled with the lack of glycogen in my body caused the crash...

Okay so it happened again today whilst I was at work so its proberbly got nothing to to with my workouts so maybe my blood sugar is just getting to low??  it's day 8 of my prep phase and I trained 5/8 so would I be okay to start with the Backloading from now?

Go for it man. I dont think the prep phase is really that important unless you are really overweight and are looking for the motivational water weight dump you get from low carbing.

Thanks for the reply mate, cool I'll crack on with it then as soon as I feel better. On a side note I've been feeling really dizzy and a bit out of it for the last 3 days in the mornings since my original post (glucose powder to the rescue!) is that normal?? so I've started to re introduce carbs in the morning I'll prob carry on doing that until I no longer feel ill, then I re-start CBL minus the prep phase, Does that sound about right? Man that prep phase really screwed me up! where did I go wrong!??

I wouldnt say its "normal" but it is something that people encounter. You probably aren't fully switched over to burning fat effectively for fuel. I wouldn't use glucose in the mornings as you might never get used to the diet if you continue to do that. Better off trying a fast acting fat source like coconut oil in the mornings with your coffee or something. Alternatively you could experiment with a small amount of fructose to supply some energy without an insulin spike. This is something I've been thinking about but havent tried, so I can't vouch for its effectiveness and its definitely not one of Kiefer's ideas. In theory it would help refill liver glycogen and allow for stable blood sugar. These days its probably considered an heretical idea since we all "know" that fructose is the devil. LOL. Try the Coconut Oil if you haven't already.

Thanks for the reply, well I had been having 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in my morning coffee (7:30) then a tablespoon of MCT in my coffee once i'd got to work (8:30) so maybe my fats had been to low from the evening before.I have started re-introducing carbs again since it happened as I didn't know what else to do, even so I still feel quite off, kinda like having the flu but without a runny nose or headache and its been 4 days now.I'll try going back with fats then and introduce a 3am spoon of coconut oil just to be on the safe side, then if i still feel hypo on waking i'll hit the fruit juice.

Man you shouldn't have to get up to eat in order for this diet to work. What are you eating all told? Maybe you just aint eating enough during the day and backloads.

Update : Iv'e been keeping tabs on my blood sugar levels and they are all normal, as is my blood pressure, so this kinda led me to believe that the dizziness may be caused by a lack of electrolytes, after a few sachets of Dioralyte I started feeling much better so maybe dehydration was a big factor, I had been drinking at least 6-8 pints of water a day however that doesn't necessarily I was getting electrolytes.  Also I found a Video of Kiefers addressing Hypoglycemia in the mornings, he recommends 3 eggs fried in butter on waking to prevent this from happening, once I feel 100% again i'll restart CBL with this addition. My daily food intake before looked like this:On waking  Coffee coconut oil .                              7:30amat work        Coffee MCT oil.                                    8:30 ambreakfast      3 scrambled eggs 3 bacon & butter.  11amsnack            almonds 1/4 cup & 1 pickled egg.      1pmlunch            half roast chicken with assorted                  salad and 2 large spoons of Olive oil.  3 pmPre work out    Ignition formula                              5:30pmpost work out    Hypertrophic Potentiator              7pmDinner            Broccoli cabbage with                      Steak & Lots of butter                      8pmBedtime          1/4 cup of cottage cheese              10 pmThis was typical during my prep phase.

Start adding some salt to your water. If it's lack of electrolytes then just drinking more water will only make it worse.

Yeah I'll try that, Or could I just add salt to my meals?

That too, but depending on how much water you are drinking salt to the water my be more effective.
