Richard SchmittModeratorIs this a new article on the site or the old previous one?
December 2, 2012 at 7:30 pm #120420
Trevor G FullbrightModeratorOld. And no, no supplement is needed. Can using WPI, Leucine and hydrolyzed proteins help? Yes.Do you need them for CBL to work? no.

bigguyskyMemberWhat about cns? and why does it make it seem so crucial in that article as if thats the key to growth?

Leucine helps that muscle growth/Hypertrophy. Does the exact samething as carbs without refilling glycogen stores.

No because it spikes insulin levels halting fat burning. You can if fat loss is not your primary concern. For PWO all you need is isolate, creatine and leucine. 1 scoop of isolate, 5-10g creatine and 3-5g leucine.

Firstly, it's an old article. His knowledge has grown since then and for the most part he would rather people avoid powders while they are ULC, and then use protein powders PWO. Adding the leucine and hydrolyzed proteins help squeeze the last little bit of possible hypertrophy out of what your doing even if you are not using carbs, but they aren't need and you can grow muscle without them.

bigguyskyMemberOk makes more since now. I didnt realize its that old of an article and he made it sound like he had found the ultimate anabolic key. But ok im kinda glad cuz that custom protein is pricey. So only time for powder is pwo?and needs to be hydro whey? Ive been mixing a little casein with my cottage cheese before bed that ok?

Richard SchmittModeratorIsolate works perfect in the PWO Shake. You can have isolate during the day, just do the recipe recommended in the book as an AM Shake. Casein with some cottage cheese is ok too.

All you need is Isolate for the PWO shake.Creatine and Leucine are cheap, so get them too.If you have the money, get some hydrolyzed proteins, I was skeptical but after using them I think it's worth it.Do whatever you want before bad, it doesn't matter that much.If you are doing CNS that might not be as good to do, but I'm sure it wont matter much.

Food. Or not eating depending on what you want to start your fast.I normally eat dinner which is 1lb of beef and some veggie normally about 30-60 minutes before bed.

bigguyskyMemberreally? man beef seems to put me in this energetic anabolic state so i dont like to have a ton befoer bed. High fats before bed for me in general can make me not sleep well. For sure animal fats. Not a good way around it though if you cant have much plant based fats.
