I'm currently doing CNS to lose some pounds and do resistance training 5x a week in the mornings when I wake up, usually at 11am.  I've read different articles on the forum and got a bit confused on whether or not to take protein?  For my pre-workout, I drink one cup of coffee and take a 200mg tab of caffeine and for post-workout I take 30g of ON Hydrowhey with 5g creatine and 5g leucine. The part I'm confused on is that since hydrolysates and leucine create an insulin spike, is this blunting my fat loss goals or helping my muscles grow since Leucine is anabolic?  My goal is fat loss but who doesn't want to get ripped at the same time, right?Should I take the protein post-workout?Also, I know Kiefer says that hydrolysates don't taste well but ON Hydrowhey doesn't taste that bad, I wonder what he thinks of it?

I am, also, on CNS -- to maintain (or even build a little) muscle, whilst burning off body fat.  I stay away from expensive Hydrosolate and cheap blends w/ Concentrate.  I use, exclusively, Isolates.  I had read, that of the three, Isolates spike insulin less.Like you, I also train 5 days a week.  I split ea. bodypart into their own day.  I Carb Nite only once every 7 days, on the same day ea. week.As for my workout nutrition...Pre-workout, I drink 2 cups of black coffee, then, the following stack of raw supps (in 16oz water):5g creatine10g glutamine3g citrulline malate1.5g acetyl carnitine6mg melatonin1g taurineIntra-workout, I sip 16oz water with:5g creatinepinch of table saltPost-workout, I first drink (immediately):6 scoops of Modern BCAA's by USP Labs10g glutamine(in 16 oz water)Then, shortly after...1 scoop Whey protein isolate5g creatine(in 16 oz water)...thus far, my bodyweight drops 1-2 lbs a week (consistently).  My strength climbs steadily, and my muscles measure the same.  Unfortunately, my fullness isn't as profound, but then again, my carbs are ultra-low 6 days a week.  To be expected.  I am rather carb depleted.Once I hit 10-12% bodyfat, or once my abs are noticeable, I am going on CBL!  I miss the fullness, and the consistent growth.Cory
