Hello, New to the board.  Tried to do some searches on the board but don't see this question answered.  Apologies if I've missed it. If on a given day performing HITT training for 30 minutes BUT no weight training,  should there be any increased carb intake that evening?  Either a full backload or any other increase in carb consumption? Thanks.

I assume you're talking about HIIT. (high intensity interval training) 😛Short answer: no. Quote from DHNaomi in another thread:

It doesn't really work. You may feel muscle fatigue, but the GLUT-4 translocation necessary for CBL to work "as advertised" only happens in the context of moving challengingly-heavy weights.

Only preform HIIT when your looking to lean out, so immediately after the workout you want to keep your carb intake to a minimun. the whole reason for preforming HIIT is to lose fat. Now on Hypertrophy (weight training) you need to eat carbs afterwards.

Sorry for the typo.  Yes HIIT.  Thanks for the feedback.  Very helpful.
