Daniel S LauryParticipantHey guys, I was just wondering if any of you had any go to's when it comes to eating out during the ULC portion of the day. I would like to go somewhere quick during my lunch break (woke up a little late after birthday celebration). So, I was thinking fast food (probably chipotle-esk) would be best. Any suggestions would be awesome.Thanks.-Dan

GonnaBeGiantMemberA lot of guys will do Wendy's! No buns, watch the cheese too. All fast food chains have nutritional and ingredient PDF's online. That way you can watch trace carbs.

Daniel S LauryParticipantYeah I had a buddy that used to do something like CNS and used to eat baconators like it was his job during the week.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorChipotle Burrito bowl with no rice and add something like guac or sour cream is amazing.

Richard SchmittModeratorChipotle?….

Daniel S LauryParticipantIs that a suggestion or a question Tex?

jeffrotasticParticipantYeah, Chipotle is a solid choice. I think a Monster Thickburger minus the buns and mayo at Hardee's/Carls Jr. is a good go to as well since they're a bit more prevalent than Chipotle. If you want to avoid the fast food scenario altogether, you could always grab a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. They're like $5 and a good way to get some quick easy protein and fat (assuming you eat the skin)

Daniel S LauryParticipantYeah I was thinking about the local grocery store, but I'm not sure what they have there that is essentially already prepared and has roughly no carbs in it but high fat and high protein. If y'all know of anything that's generally at the grocer as well that would be great.

They use Soybean oil in all of their meats besides the carnitas. Jimmy John's unwich is the best FF option IMO or even Little Caesars oven baked wings.

This is true, but having it sometimes isn't gonna kill you.

GonnaBeGiantMemberMost grocery stores will see a package of 6 hard boiled eggs!

Daniel S LauryParticipantHasn't Keifer warned about eating too many eggs causing a spike in insulin?

Just pair them with fat. Some cheese, butter, maybe some kind of deli meat, bacon, or nuts.

GonnaBeGiantMemberYeah they sell pre packaged bacon.. Or buy a stick of full fat cheese. Remember your in a pinch, you can't be perfect.

Richard SchmittModeratorBest bet is to try the deli sections if not places like Chipotle or even Chili's To-Go. I'd choose them first. Like a steak or chicken salad for $8. Just be sure to ask for the gluten free version they won't put croutons on it.
