Only 200 g of carbs. At some point I should post my diet plan. Have you guys critique it.Just feels like I am gaining not only muscle but fat as well. Thats why cutting down on carbs

You feel like shit because you didn't eat enough carbs. That's one of the signs of not eating enough. It could be issues with what you ate as well, but you just need lots more carbs.

Would you backload with more carbs even before your day off? That's one thing I am confused about. If the purpose of heavy backload is to fuel the next day workout, what if you next day is your off day?

Coming from a carb-phobic background it was really hard for me to eat carbs when backloading at first.I started at 300g, it was okay, no real fat loss but a little strength gain, but not what I wanted. I upped to 400g and felt better strength but still not really any fat loss, so then I upped to 600g+ and started seeing fat loss and huge strength increases. If you train at night still eat tons of carbs.I was training in the morning on friday and taking saturday off but I'd still eat tons of carbs friday night.

Yea always go overboard first an then reign it in if you need to rather than starting too small and spinning your wheels.

It's funny, I was told by someone that the forums would totally fall apart with them, but the responses here are top quality. I have nothing to add to this thread yet.

Just wanted to personally thank you for making my life about 20x easier  😀 Eating tasty food and staying lean never worked for me, but CBL does the trick.

From your knowledge/experience, do younger guys/girls respond better to this diet or no?

It mostly depends on your muscle mass [the amout of carbs that you can load] so age does not matter that much. You need to overcome carbophobia as major part of these forums did so!:DBut response to diet - I've never seen a post saying "CBL does not work for me..." unless someone did some serious fuck-up-acion.

I agree carb phobia is what holding me back.Goes against everything that I have learned so far. 1 gram per lb used to be my high carb night.  The other thing for me personally is to find the right kind of carbs that won't make you sick:)I love cookies and ice cream as much as anybody but 600+ grams of it can make you sick. You definitely have to experiment to find the right kind of food. Thinking of giving gluten free a try
