Hey all, past couple CN's I've been have some hypoglycemia symptoms during my sleep. Wake up sweating, light headed, nausea, etc. I understand to take in a good amount of fat for my last meal of CN which is what I am doing now. My question is, if this happens to occur again, is there a quick fix/go to meal or drink I can have when feeling like this? One night the affects got really bad but I didn't want to drink a coke or Gatorade or have candy because technically I would be back within my ULC guidelines the next morning, correct? Meaning I can't break the 30g  of carbs limit. Just trying to figure out the best option without messing up the diet. Something like Diet coke wouldnt work so I'd have to do a regular come which is high carb. Most candy is high in carbs. Kinda lost…

For me, having some MCT or CO with my last meal/right before bed always helped that.

Ya I understand the fat before bed part. My question was if it still happens to occur at 3/4am, is there a goto fix food/drink to help blood sugar out without breaking the carb limit for the next day?

Coconut oil or MCT oil. Doing it before bed would likely stop it before hand is what I was working toward.By having the MCT right before bed you will get a ketogenic bump and have something to burn for fuel as the blood sugar comes down.

strange... i've heard (never actually tried) when people get this from exertion, ie running a race or too many squats... to put a pinch of sugar under the tongue, and you are supposed to feel better in about 10-15 seconds... i realize that's not what you want in a low carb diet... just an idea.
