Kakattack918MemberI am reading the Carb Back Loading eBook and am very interested in the logic behind it and have decided to give it a try. Although the literature answers most questions I have/had about the protocol, I am wondering what brands Kiefer recommends/uses for the supplements. The only brand suggestion he makes is Peptopro for the hydrolyzed casein but I am curious about the others (i.e. omega 3's, medium chain triglycerides, high insulinotropic carbs, whey isolate, protein hydrolysates (whey variety), leucine, caffeine (pills/powder other than coffee) and creatine.)Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Richard SchmittModeratorCarlon's Finest for the Fish oil or NOW Foods Ultra Omega-3's is a good oneTrue Nutrition is a great place to get your protein, and carb needs. Along with leucine and creatine. They sell caffeine powder and I believe also in caffeine capsules. I recommend getting an electronic scale to accurate measure out the powders at first, then you can eye ball it later if you want.

Kakattack918MemberThis is great. Thank you so much. Also, is there any chance you can recommend which kind of creatine? There are a few different kinds like monohydrate, gluconate, ethyl ester, etc.

Mono, it's the cheapest and the one all the research is done with.

Charles B.GuestIs there a difference in the Mono from one manuafacturer to the next? I was looking at supplements on Truenutrition.com and saw two options for the creatine monohydrate powder. One made by Creapure for $4.89/100g and another I can only assume is their house brand for $2.89/100g. Is the stuff that's two dollars more really any different? My guess is no, but I was hoping for some advice from more knowledgeable folks here. Thanks.http://www.truenutrition.com/c-99-creatine.aspx
