I am new to CBL and have read over the ebook. There is a list of supplements to take and then also certain shakes to mix up with the supplements. Some of the supplements are straight forward and some of them are a bit confusing and I would like help with clarification. Here is the list as I see it that need purchasedOmega-3    Pretty straight forwardCaffeine    Pretty straight forwardWhey isolate    I don't see a problem in selecting my flavor of choice on this. Maybe there is something I should know. I usually use Optimum Nutrition but will get the pure formHigh GI carb    The ebook gives 3 choices here. Your wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

On one of the podcasts Kiefer said to take Leucine post workout and you dont need more than 5g. On your backloading meals you can take5g with each carb meal to drive the insulin spike even higher

As far as the casein hydrolysate, I'd get it from truenutrition.com I have tried both chocolate and cake batter flavors. Chocolate was decent. Make sure to get double flavor. For Leucine I'd go to the same place and just get l-Leucine powder. Isoleucine is actually a different amino acid.

I just checked out truenutrition.com and the l-Leucine powder comes in heat-sealed foil pouches.  What do you put it in once you open the pouch up? Same goes for the creatine...

Any extra containers you have laying around or order a tub once and then future orders have the seal

Be warned though that leucine tastes pretty grim. I find it's best to take it on its own with water and then make the shake with the rest of the ingredients, as even hydrolysate is bearable compared to leucine, and doesn't ruin the taste of the whole thing.

Just so I know, because the more I research the more ignorant I feel.......  I have optimum nutrition gold standard whey protein and casein.  Here comes the stupid question!!!  Those are both a hydrolysate correct?  This studing nutrition hours on end is twisting my thoughts.

No, they are not hydro isolates. The gold standard is a concentrate and the casein is a slow digesting protein.

Just add leucine to the concentrate PWO and you'll be fine. Take the casein before bed!

Do you think I should take the casein with fat or do you think it will be ok without fat?

When I take casein at night I would add a tbsp of grass-fed butter, although it's probably not needed. I did just in case!

The more I read the more I find everyone saying to eat the grass-fed butter over virgin coconut oil.  I keep searching online to find out why but I keep coming up empty handed.  When you look at the two what is your deciding factor in eating the butter over the coconut oil? Thanks in advance!

Coconut oil works just fine, butter just tastes better and dairy fat has lots of health benefits.Coconut oil is great to use, it gives an interesting flavor and can give you some quick energy. Just use whichever you'd prefer.

Back to OP question, does anyone have specific recommendations of exactly what to buy? I've looked around true nutrition, but there's a ton of stuff on there. For now I'm just plowing thru my ON gold standard whey.
