FairyKeymasterSince I've seen this new research showing how some protein can pretty much spike insulin just as much as carbs, I'm thinking if it's worth worrying about preventing insulin spikes from sweetners, then we should equally be looking at the way we eat what we eat and how we can reduce the time we spend each day with elevated insulin if fatloss is the goal. Ways to reduce time spent with elevated insulin levels on CNS:* Only eat protein twice a day (to keep fast under 14 hrs)* the earlier meal should be smaller than the later meal* time the bulk of the protein consumed to be eaten in the hours following a workout* the earlier meal should be higher in fat than the later meal* restrict protein to how much you need to maintain/gain and up fat if you're still hungryDoes this male sense to anyone else?Any other thoughts on how to reduce insulin exposure on CNS?

That's exactly how I eat but both meals are high fat and no restrictions on fat or protein other than to not stupidly over eat.

pr1971GuestIf you only eat protien 2 times a day what else do you eat for your other meals. Is it worth not having protien through out the day to have low insulin secretion though out the day? If insulin shuttles aminos and glucose to the muscle how would it get there with out it? I would think protien with no insulin at all would be like having a DNR order to have cardiac live saving meds only and no CPR…inject the drugs via IV and they will sit in the blood not go to the heart caue no compressions are intitated. IMO the insuling release from protiens isnt enough to slow fat lose. I may be wrong always learning.

The main idea was to just eat twice a day.

That means nothing!!!!I'm 6 foot 205 and 2 large meals a day is perfect and beats the hell out of more smaller meals. Talk about never being full. I've been 240 at 15% and that was eating 2 large meals a day.

It doesn't matter much. Eat however often works best for you. Most people find they do better with fewer meals though.Anyway, 6-8 eggs and a half lbs of bacon w/ an AM shake for breakfast/lunch and 1lb of beef + veggies for dinner. Then I'd have a PWO shake on training days.

Here's breakfast.. Only I eat it at 11-12Dinner would be something like this. This was 3.2 pounds of food after it was cooked. More was after the pic. Another breakfast These aren't my meals I ate when I was 240, these are from when I was 210-215

pr1971GuestThat looks pretty good actually. I was doing a pretty similar diet in 08 got to 4% with no gear at 191. I just ate a little less more often but not much more 1-2 more meals. No issues not having protien that long in the day?

I was a BCAA drinking fool. LolI'd drink 30g+ a dayNow that I'm doing CNS I don't use BCAAs at all and I'm not worried about the lack of protein threw out the day because it doesn't matter when you get it in as long as you get it in. Lol

pr1971GuestBCAAS are so under rated I was taking creatine eating 300 gm of protien a day taking other supps as well. I was doing 60 min 6 days a wk of the real stepper …my legs were sore on every leg day nothing helped I started taking BCAAs with beta al soreness gone! Info is changing Im from the school protien every 3 hrs or you shrink! 30-40 gm of protien at a time of you shit it out….heard Jay Cutler say it..he said 50-60 for a guy my size. Not saying he is right just saying. Been the rule of thumb since I started working out in 85…yeah Im old lol.
