P.J.ParticipantIt's my understanding the purpose of the 10-day prep phase prior to using CBL is to prime the body to be able to utilize carbs efficiently. What do you guys think about going through that ULC prep phase say, I don't know every 5-6 months or so? Could that break through any plateaus and enhance muscle gain and fat loss even further? Or will it not make any difference?

Richard SchmittModeratorCould that every 5-6 months but if needing a break sooner than that will also help. Don't have to do a full ten days unless you really need it. A week like CNS is good.

Is this kinda what Kiefer and company refer to when talking about tweaking CBL and making it more of a modified CBL/CNS? Especially for those who get below 10% BF.

Richard SchmittModeratorYes and no. Having a CN every 5th day, utilizing the new piece of information from the DH website, and making sure you do the ULC correctly. The break from CBL into CNS a for a month could help too. Everything varies.

I believe this is the opposite of what Kiefer aims at. In one of his articles he talks specifically about being inefficient with food. This allows you to ingest more food without harvesting the caloric load you usually end up with.

My mistake. I guess I should have said to train your body to use carbs inefficiently, or at least store them as fat inefficiently haha.
