Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything that would lead us to believe that Rilose http://proteinfactory.com/shop/Rilose/ is no longer 'the' carb at the top of the list of all things Kiefer for PWO.If it is still the tops, it seems that this offering from TrueNutrition is pretty much the same thing... https://www.truenutrition.com/p-1048-whole-grain-brown-rice-carbohydrate-1lb.aspx I am putting this out there to see if there is anything I may have missed in the a/b comparison as I have been a loyal TrueNutrition, formerly TrueProtein, customer since back in my DC days.  So, what say you, DHers?

truenutrition and protein factory are prob the best quality. stuff is slightly cheaper at tn but their shipping is a little more. tn ships from CA and pf from NJ i believe so if you want the stuff quick and are on either coast thats something to think about. i order some hydrolysate and dextrose about a month ago and i think it was something like 6 bucks less at tn including the shipping. i live in boston but i wasnt in a rush so i opted to save 6 bucks but shipping took something like 10 days

Thanks for the reply.I was just wondering if anything had changed since Kiefer's stated preference for rilose in the Protein Supplmentation 2.0, and DH Protein Series from Protein Factory articles, and I believe mentioned it at other times as well.  Dextrose causes me a little gastric distress for some reason, so I was looking for an alternative and will give the rice carb a go when I switch over to CBL SA - until/unless I hear different. Thanks again for your help.

Try getting TN's carbohydrate enzyme mixed with your dextrose - that helps some people quite a bit. That being said, rice carbohydrate has been far easier on my guts although I currently use Karboload from TN as my postworkout carbohydrate source.

Good insight, thanks.  I went ahead and ordered the Br. Rice Carb (w/ the carb enzyme – not sure how well I will do with anything on such a regular basis right now just coming off CNS) in a custom mix with the L-Leucine and Creatine flavored the same as the Protein mix (CFM Isolate, Pepto Pro, Whey Hydolysate, Micellar Casein) so that I can just do a couple of scoops from each tub for each shake – makes it a lot easier than minute scoops out of 86 separate jars.  Not to mention cheaper as you can get only as much as needed for however many servings, should one decide to try something else.I also feel stupid as I have about 90% of a jug of the KarboLoad from a previous guru's 'formula' just sitting around.  I had meant to float the KarboLoad out there as well as the 'rilose' as a lot of folks consider this the new 'gold standard' PWO carb choice.  Unfortunately, it's pretty limited in terms of flavoring...Thanks again for the feedback.

    What flavoring did you get?

I am a big fan of the Premium Chocolate Coconut or Java Mochaccino for the protein blends. As far as for the KarboLoad, I got the unflavored which isn't really bad at all, it just seems to 'blandify' everything I mix it with.

Let me know how that works with the various aminos and hydrolyzed proteins. I've been using more citrus flavors. (Of course, green apple karboload pairs really well with those. Chocolate? Not so much.)Looking forward to your report.

Will do.I think with the addition of the carbs to balance out the PWO shake it should make it more palatable.
