patjKeymasterLegit question: Have gone through prep phase and have been back loading for a couple of weeks. I only back twice a week (on evenings before a squat or dead lift session which are at 9am).My question is whether anyone knows if carb back loading would affect hormones in such a way that sexual arousal would spike after a back load. I find from waking up until the 9am workout I am extremely aroused. Now I accept this might be my mind gearing up for a hard workout but would be interested to hear if there were any hormonal changes after a back load that might be contributing.

FairyGuestStrange. Post carbs, test. drops.Maybe your body is just happy it has glycogen again. Like, Yay! We're not starving! Let's reproduce.

maxwkwMemberI have the same problem. Except mine happens on days that I back load as well as low carb days, evenings, in the am or pm, days that end in y, if I'm training or resting, etc. But seriously, it's probably just general arousal of the nervous system. Enjoy it.

Clinical Diagnosis: The Donut Boner.Description: This condition is commonly found among males on either the Carb Nite Solution or Carb Back-Loading nutrition protocols. It is likely due to pre-emptive fantasizing about the next time one will be allowed to consume high-glycemic carbohydrates. Common symptoms are characterized by obsessive thoughts of when the "next cheat meal" will be. More extreme symptoms may include elevated heart rate, increased blood pressure, and attempting to break a wooden board with one's penis.Treatment Options: Though no known cure exists at present, ancedotal evidence from the Dangerously Hardcore community suggests that quietly attempting to perform sexual intercourse with the Smith Machine at your local GloboGym may hold therapeutic potential. (Make sure to keep audible volume low, so as to avoid setting off the Lunk Alarm.)Sincerely,AF

The higher saturated fats in the diet will increase test, and increased test = increased sex drive (in both men and women). That said, I wake with this issue every morning... and it follows me throughout the day, every day. I wouldn't let it concern you, and I'd take it as a good sign that your test levels are probably optimal. Put that shit to good use, and go lift some big ass weights. 🙂Cory

FineSigilMemberThe legendary morning wood. Post puberty, if one achieves consistency, rigidity, daily, it's a sign of vitaility (or so I have heard). Ironically, the leaner I get the less likely I can achieve it. I'm really not sure how to make of this (i.e. hormones, lifestyle, diet) but on the lookout for any ideas. Maybe I will try upping saturated fat...

FairyGuest@FS Yep, I think you need to up saturated fat!! If you have any doubt in your mind over whether you're getting enough saturated fat you need more. Saturated fat is ESSENTIAL for fat burning and creating T. Put high grade butter in your morning coffee along with the MCTs.My sex drive has also nose dived since I've been on CNS. I'm putting this down to the body not wanting to reproduce when it's losing fat, because fat is so essential for a healthy baby.I just hope I'm not low on any micronutritents . . .

Seems like great advice, but the the truth of point 2 contradicts the existence of point 1 in my opinon.

No kidding. When I was 19/20 I ended up with Low T from eating 30g or less in fat a day and over training with around 3-4 hours of working out (mostly running) 6 days a week. Being that age and not even being able to get it up was horrible.
