MagParticipantThanks. When I get a chance I can shop online, but for now I will go to the Vitamin shoppe later because I am desperate and carb depleted. The whey protein I have on hand is loaded with carbs and the carbs are probably the evil carbs at that. And the desired whey should have certain aminos, right? I also need creatine, coconut oil, etc. Some guidance would be appreciated.I am also a little unclear about the carbs I can have in the evening,as far as the types of sugar is desirable. Are there kinds of common soft drinks allowed?

Just get a whey supplement. As far as the carbs, just count them. All you really need is a scoop PWO anyways. As far as the carbs for the backloads, just get most of them from white rice, potatoes, white bread (if you tolerate gluten), and you can have a couple sweet treats here and there. Pretty much anything is fair game as far as carbs go. The only thing you want to avoid are whole grains, fruit (except for ripe bananas), and fibrous vegetables. Of course if a little bit of these somehow find their way in it's not a big deal.

MagParticipantHowbout the morning? Don't have time for bacon and eggs. The morning shake needs no carbs ,right? And how about nuts…is it just almonds…are they extremely low carb?

A gram or two of carbs is not a big deal. Nuts do have some carbs in them, so I would make sure you measure or weight them. The shake really isn't necessary if your powder has to many carbs, you could just eat butter or something. You should be fasting in the morning anyways.
