Powergirl36MemberHey all!I'm back- I was on this forum 2 years ago, and much has changed in my life since! Anyways, I will keep this brief but I jumped in head first into a dream of mine and signed up for my first powerlifting meet this summer! Am using CBL 100% for my meet. Very excited as I'm 123 and deadlifted 195 today! Good to be back!!!

Powergirl36MemberIt's such as awesome focus! Have you had any experience with certain backloading foods that work better than others? I'm doing it by the book, using mct oil as I'm allergic to coconut, but yeah- any tips to fuel performance I would greatly appreciate! Thinking of relying on sweet potatoes and white rice…

I like regular Idaho potatoes. I think you are better off consuming those than sweet potatoes. They are higher GI and are starchier. Rice is fine. Make sure you eat some protein with the carbs. Don't be afraid of fat either. Putting butter on the potatoes is fine.

getbigordietryingMemberjasmine rice is definitely my “favorite” backload food as i feel that my body handles rice the best and i can eat looooads of it. I also just love making home made fried rice makes backloading feel like i'm eating hibachi every night nothing better than that.

Awesome! I bought some jasmine last night after reading that it has the highest GI! Today is my first carb day after prep!!! Woo! 🙂

Elizabeth PagelParticipantI did CBL for my last powerlifting meet. I have a sweet tooth so there was some ice cream involved. I tried to keep the dirtier back loads on deadlift and squats days while keeping the bench and speed work backloads a little cleaner and smaller. I gained strength while not losing too much weight so I stayed in my weight class.Sent from my SPH-L520 using Tapatalk
