GnomerParticipantexplains why GVT has been shown to be such an effective form of training for muscle growthhttp://trainology.org/PDF/6%20J%20Trainol%202012_1(2)_28-31_Loenneke%20JP.pdffor those who don't want to read it here is the conclusion"The data suggests that skeletal muscle hypertrophy recommendations on the basis of exercise intensity are toosimplistic and more focus should instead be placed on total exercise volume. The current recommendations for musclehypertrophy do not reflect current science."

Paul GalickiParticipantThank you very much for posting this. I was focusing on overall fitness and getting leaner for quite a while, but I recently switched my focus to building muscle. On the basis of my research and previous experience with a program reliant upon a variation of GVT (10×10 with rest periods of decreasing length), I decided GVT made the most sense for what I'm trying to accomplish. That report makes me feel even better about my decision.

Paul GalickiParticipantGood luck to you. It's pretty difficult at times, but I'm enjoying it overall. Will you be doing traditional GVT or Advanced GVT? Or starting with traditional and ending with advanced?

Paul GalickiParticipantHow did the GVT program work for you, SanosukeX? I got some very noticeable results by running GVT with a variation of CBL (I made small adjustments to account for my pancreas-related health issues). I'm very interested in trying CNS with lifting to slim down a bit without losing my recent muscle gains. Is there a specific type of lifting program you like to pair with CNS?

Paul GalickiParticipantI'm sorry to hear that it didn't pan out for you. Doing GVT got pretty brutal at times, but I'm thrilled with the results. I'd like to try CNS for a while now to slim down a bit and to see if the diet has a positive effect on my A1c (I'm fairly certain that it will). What kind of lifting program do you usually run while on CNS? Have you tried a lactic-acid-training program while on CNS?

i have ran couple programs doing CNS style eating.. found it doesn't really matter as long as I ate carbs pre-workout(generally glycofuse)
