Jacqui DBMemberI also found when transitioning to a higher-fat diet I got acne problems. A few things that helped me were:1. removing dairy2. removing HFCS3. removing nuts4. removing gluten5. washing my skin with a castor/sunflower seed oil blend (I know it sounds crazy but it really does help! The instructions are here http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/)

Craig HawkinsMemberYou also may want to look into peanuts. I get acne when I eat peanuts. I think mrJiggly is on to something though.
Same here, peanuts do a number on my back >:(

CMetlerGuestOKay, so potentially stupid question here… if we remove dairy from general eats, are we removing it from our backloads as well? As in no IC? :'(And those of you who have removed it, did you also go without whey protein? As that is a compound of dairy?

Jacqui DBMemberI kept a small amount of whey in, just for PWO shakes. My skin is better without it, but I'll take the minor hit for the recovery benefits.I do keep the dairy out on the backloads. I just make my own with coconut milk. Some people tolerate yogurt or other fermented dairy better than regular dairy, so maybe try some fro-yo?

Are you allergic to do dairy? If you are then yes, consuming ice cream would not be the best idea. If you aren't allergic to dairy, why are you eliminating it?

thrownullpointerMemberstarchy foods in general are proven to worsen the skin & cause inflammation. The source doesn't matter. Some people are more sensitive than others. Some people will never have skin if they pile on the simple carbs (starches) required by back-loading.Gluten and all that other crap doesn't matter... Sure you can have issues with gluten, but the problem with skin has to due with all the starches in general.

Ali123MemberI think I'm one of those people that when my skin breaks it breaks badly. I think I shld stop eating junk for backloads and just have a simple backload with rice protien and fruits hopeful that might tame my skin problem for abit

CMetlerGuestIve always had bad skin, dairy seems to make it worse, so i guess i'm kind of allergic. I have been eating it and havent had real skin problems until i started the backloading. So i thought maybe the combination of the two was screwing me up, plus i do carb nite, with 2 carb nites a week. I dont do the backload. and i do not eat ice cream everytime.
