agentmadsParticipantI've been searching the forums for this a couple of time, but haven't found any good thread about it.What glucose-based snacks do you eat on CBL? I mean snacks you can bring to the movies, when hanging out with friends etc.. Most snacks seem to be full of sugar or/and fat.

Zachary M EarleyParticipantThe first thing I thought of was white rice based rice cakes, like the ones that come in different flavors. Also, I know they've got fat in them, but maybe somewhere near around you carries some potato chips that have been fried in some kind of CBL approved fat, something other than the vegetable oils commonly used. Also, Ive read about people finding candy that has been made with dextrose or corn syrup (not high fructose corn syrup).

ironalexMemberCBL helps alleviate this sort of problem, it is a very socially friendly diet in that by saving all your carbs for PWO you could feasibly go out for a restaurant meal, go to the movies or a bar or wherever, and eat pretty much whatever with minimal or no damage done – and often actually having 'inappropriate' food help you. Sucrose (sugar) and fat can be consumed during a backload period if the rest of the day is set up correctly.Especially if the rest of the time your backloads are clean/controlled, there shouldn't be any issue eating a 'typical' snack like a chocolate bar or a doughnut. This doesn't mean you can necessarily eat a dozen, but if you're just grabbing a snack really don't worry about it. An exception might be if you're going all out for fat loss (sub 10%), in which case you might want to be more selective about your snacks.

TCBParticipantI like to have gluten free cookies.. Both packaged (WOW brand is delicious) and homemade (super easy to make using rice flour and dextrose). Also, I got these this week and they're pretty good. Trying to figure out something I can top them with that'll make them better.http://www.amazon.com/Kameda-Crisps-Frosted-Rice-Crackers/dp/B008CDB5REI also do things like unsweetened dried mango from Trader Joe's. That stuff is like crack. Or grapes.

Robert GrayParticipantIf I'm going to a movie after a workout, I choose that night for a dirty backload and eat raisinets or M&Ms. I eat rice-based or potato foods the rest of the time, so movie is a good excuse for a night off.
