So I completed my 2nd BL night last night and am consuming 300g carbs/BL.  Here is my meal plan broken down on ULC and BL daysULC:Wake 5a.m. - coffee, 1TBS cocnut oil11 -1130 - 8 oz chicken or 6 slices turkey bacon and cottage cheese1:30 - pre-workout5:30 - 6 - 8 oz chicken or lean ground beef7 - cheese stick or cottage cheeseBL:Wake 5a.m. - coffee, 1TBS cocnut oil11 -1130 - 8 oz chicken or 6 slices turkey bacon and cottage cheese1:30 - pre-workout4:00 - post workout with lean protein and dextrose5 - Hi glycemic dinner (ex. sweet and sour chicken w/2 cups white rice)7-9 - have a few different options (pancakes, rice chex, cookies, baked potato) I eat what meets my carb needsMy concern is I am putting on body fat %.  I don't get stressed, I get 7-8 hrs sleep daily.  I do HIIT 3 times/wk.  Weight lifting is M, W, F and HIIT is T, T, Sat and of course Sun are off.  Where am I wrong here?  I know the day after a BL, you will be heavier and once you complete your HIIT you will shed so I understand, so is this legit?  Thanks all!Tony

I am male, my strength is pretty good.  When I weight lift, which I have been doing for years, both powerlifting and bodybuilding, but injury leaned me more towards not so heavy, with higher reps, but I am always crawling outta the gym.  I have always ate a clean diet.  My current weight is 191lbs and am trying to get back down to 180lbs lean.

If you're gaining fat try lowering your carbs a little bit. Otherwise, maybe drop some of the dairy.

Why do you assume you are gaining fat after only 2 backloads?

I have a BF% reader.  It is continuing to go up, rose up 1.5% since I started BLing.  MaxThanks for the response.  I really didn't think, I had too much dairy, so maybe I'll just drop the carbs a bit.

It is possible to assume youre carbs are too high since youre likely experiencing some bloat which is prolly what the bf reader may be misinterpreting, but I doubt its fat gain. Just do like max said and reassess the following mornig

Yeah, maybe so.  I know its experimental even though the book says do this as a baseline.  I have been taking in less than my required carbs.  I am supposed to take in 303g/BL, but have been unable to get all the food in.  I have been hovering around 270-280g/BL.  The delta chart calls for roughly 630g, so I took that multiplied it by 1.5 and divided it by my 3 BL/week which fall on Mon, Wed, and Fri.  I will keep at it.  Thanks all.
