I was just wondering where people buy their whey/casein hydrolysates from in the UK? It seems that myprotein does Casein Hydrolysate (as peptopro), and unflavoured not whey. The only other Whey I can find is this: http://www.perfectbody.ie/fitness-authority-diamond-hydrolysed-whey-protein-2270-g So - anyone got any other good sources? or recommendations?

There's also http://www.theproteinworks.com/products/protein-shakes/whey-protein/hydrolysed-whey.htmlPersonally, I go with MyProtein's Whey Hydrolysate. It doesn't even taste that bad if you ask me.

I've been using up some old Soy stuff I got from myprotein… trust me, what it tastes like is the *least* I worry about!

I'm ashamed to say I used to drink soy milk before starting on CBL. Needless to say, that's been knocked on the head – no soy products at all anymore 🙂Do you know of a good place and price for MCT Oil in the UK? The best I've found is from ironscience.co.uk with 1 litre for £13.99. I'm hoping it's decent, they don't tell you the breakdown but the eBay listing states "C8-C10 Triglyceride - produced from pure coconut oilA light coloured, low viscosity oil containing Triglycerides of medium chain and saturated fatty acids; mainly C8 ( caprylic) and ( Capric)" so I've taken the risk and ordered it.

Get your stuff at myprotein.com. And if your buying Hydrowhey just get one of these:http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/flavdrops/10530471.htmlThey really kick ass. And you can vary the flavor with each shake.

I mostly do, though I don't bother with the flavdrops. On occasion I get stuff from bulkpowders.co.uk as well, because they're cheaper for quite a few things. However, neither sell MCT Oil 🙁

    I had this recommended as a MCT oilhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/1-Ltr-Coconut-Fractionated-Oil/dp/B004RG9HGQ/ref=pd_sim_d_3 🙂

Has anyone tried this? If so, is it any good?

Hmm that's interesting, but isn't it just a non-virgin version of coconut oil (primarily lauric acid), as opposed to MCT (primarily caprylic and capric)? It would feel weird drinking something meant for hair and skin conditioning too  ;D

From what I've read the fractionating process removes the Lauric Acid, leaving the MCTs behind.

It seems to be debatable – this site, for instance, claims

Fractionated Coconut Oil is a, standard, distillation of Coconut Oil which results in a combination of all of the fatty acids, pulled through the distillation process.

.. but then they would, as they're selling "Caprylic Capric Triglycerides"..

Ok, so I asked eNaissence directly about this and they came back to me with:

    FATTY ACID COMPOSITION: C6:0         Capronic Acid: 0.6 maximumC8:0         Caprylic Acid: 50 - 65C10:0 Capric Acid: 30 - 50C12:0 Lauric Acid: 2.0 maximumC14:0 Myristic Acid: 0.5 maximum

So it looks like pretty good stuff, indeed 🙂

So you think it's good to go and a good source of MCT?

I bought their solid coconut oil, no issues with it seems to be the same as stuff I paid double for in the past.Must agree it's slightly disconcerting to see directions for conditioning your hair on the packet! Will buy the oil when I've used up my other one

I'm going to give it a try when my ironscience MCT oil is used up. They've also confirmed it's “100% pure and natural with nothing added to it in any way”
