I am wrapping up day 10 of the 10-day CBL prep. I planned well and diligently stuck morning coffee/coconut oil, late first meal, post-workout hypertrophic shake (~p. 139 of the book) minus the carbs, bacon/eggs, 12 oz. hamburgers with bacon/cheese/spinach, etc.,My bench press sucks relative to my squat and deadlift (I'm a powerlifter) and after naively losing weight (and muscle) doing Weight Watchers, I learned to finally eat enough to get bigger and regained all the bench strength I had lost. But I'm tired of getting fatter to get stronger and so have come to CBL. Anyway, a week ago, my BP was still strong and I completed my 3 working sets of 6 reps for the night without a problem. Last night, however, I could BARELY do 4 reps the first set (same lifting weight for certain reasons) and 3 the second. This scares the hell out of me/stresses me out - after all this hard work to regain strength to lose it in 7 days? >:( I thought all of Kiefer's suggestions are to help prevent this. Anyone experience this? How fast did the strength come back once backloading started? Is it just impossible not to lose some muscle as you lose fat?? I REALLY hope it doesn't take long to get back where I was and beyond.-William
