Here's an article and it's related study(I'm assuming) on the relationship between low-intensity exercise/standing and LPL activity.http://www.sciencedaily.com/videos/2008/0610-stand_up_for_your_health.htmhttp://jp.physoc.org/content/551/2/673.fullI haven't looked at the study and only the article briefly(don't have the time right now) though I don't know if I'd be able to do to much with it. So if somebody smarter wants to look at this critically that would be cool. Now, thinking about this, I have anecdotal evidence to support the headline, as I jury-rigged my desk to become a standing desk 6-7 months ago...not the prettiest, and I got some weird looks/jabs at work but those went away after a week or so(not that I gave a shit or anything lol), but it allowed to me to transfer between sitting and standing pretty easily(standing for eight hours in basically the same spot is not the easiest thing to do, so I was taking sitting breaks every now and then)We have since moved offices and have been at the new place for a couple months. My desk situation isn't quite the same as it was before and so far I haven't put forth the effort to re-jury-rig it ::) That will probably be changing soon though 😉I definitely notice(now that I look back at it) a general trend in relation to BF% levels and daily standing levels. Of course there are obviously many confounding variables here, and I have no concrete numbers, but I still find it interesting and potentially useful.Anyways, enjoy.
