Need to take B12 and folate in a form (methyl form) that's only taken up transdermally/sublingually, but most if not all sublingual lozenges contain some sort of sweetener (as well as “natural fruit flavor” whatever that means). My question is which sweetener would do least damage on a CN diet, or are the amounts so small anyway that I don't need to worry about it. The once i've seen are; sorbitol, mannitol, xylitol, fructose, ascorbyl palmitate I think as calories from carbs go they are insignificant but as I understand from kiefer we're trying to let the body forget/stop producing certain enzymes that it needs to convert carbs to fat. Doing the carb night without this set up could lead to disaster, kinda like trying to do a carb night on Atkins. Anyone got any reflections on this?

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert when it comes to most of the stuff you're talking about.  What kind of dosing are we talking about, though?  One lozenge a day?  An hour?  I would guess the answer to your question would rely on how often or many you were administering. One or two a day couldn't (I imagine) do much damage. Then again, some people react more negatively (insulin-wise, fat loss-wise, digestion-wise) to sugar alcohol's on low-carb diets than others.  If you NEED to take them I suppose the point is moot, or, perhaps, more properly posed as, "How can you minimize the effects of taking these lozenges?"

Well, dosages vary a lot but at least 3 lozenges x 3 a day. In my mind that's 9 small “sugarcubes” spread througout the day ready to ruin my efforts. I know that by weight they shouldn't matter in terms of carbs but I can't think but that the intense sweetness on/under your tongue 3 times a day must do something to the body's relationship with carbs. There are ways around it, like taking capsules, breaking them open as well as liposomic and intranasal products but they are quite a bit more expensive and a bit cumbersome to be frank, so that's why  I'm asking.
