agentmadsParticipanthey guysi am wondering if it is possible (for the majority), to take a "standard" CBL SA protocol to 10% body fat or below?if not, which is my thought... what tweaking could or should be done to achieve those levels of body fat?

Most people need to really pay attention to their food intake to make that work. It's highly individual, so you will need to experiment. My only recommendation is changing the mindset of the backload. Instead of "how many carbs can I get away with" the mindset should be "whats the bare minimum of carbs that I need so my workouts don't suck". As far as training, just keep training hard and focus on gaining muscle. More muscle will get you leaner and help you stay leaner.

So, by food intake, do you mean macros, kcals or? And both in the ULC part and the backload? Good point with the mindset!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you track macro you will also end up tracking calories. And trying to get to below 10% will require tracking during both times.

agentmadsParticipantBy tracking calories I assume it's because one must be in a calorie deficit…? If yes, what's the (approx) calorie deficit you'd need to be in? If no, then what? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's impossible to say, you just need to know the average you are eating. You don't want it to be a large deficit.

agentmadsParticipantOkay.. I'll just have to experiment. Perhaps switch to CN in the future if the fat isn't coming off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

+1You really can't recommend a calorie deficit. Just see how well you do on when your diet has different amounts of calories. Protein should be .8-1 g/lbCarbs should be the bare minimum you need for training and other physical activityFat will make up the rest of the calories

agentmadsParticipantSo, for taking CBL to 10% bf or less, do you guys emphasize the volume of the backloads (grams of carbs) more than a time window PWO for carbs (many talking 2-4 hours, but the book just says until bed). Or, are they equally important? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Volume I'd say is more important. But I'd also generally just have all the carbs in one meal (and maybe dessert) about an hour after training.

Would this be because of possibility of a carb overload (and carbs being converted to fat) or because of insulin? I'm thinking if a whey isolate, leucine and coconut oil shake (no carbs) would be appropriate before bed?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

agentmadsParticipantAnother question: is AM training for the most part, for or against the goal of this topic? and why?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
