SakecatMemberIs a tinny battery like taste in your mouth a sign that your in ketosis I am on night 6 of this cycle and I am just now starting to get that taste in my mouth?? I am also just now starting to see a drop in BF% and in weight according to my scale? the more I do this diet the more I think that I need to stretch my ULC period to get results.

GnomerParticipantDepending your bodyfat some people do have better results extending CN untill 10 days. I however wouldn't be able to keep to my lifting with such a long ULC period.

For a higher body fat would you recommend this?

SakecatMembermy back has finally started to heal up so I may get back in gym on Monday. Hope fully that will resolve the issue I have been having horrible results lately One thing that has helped is simply not drinking.by not drinking I did not see a large weight gain as I have been. Guess I cant have a beer or two on carbnite. :'( :'(This dose not change the fact that the scale really starts to move at the end of the week. I think next week I will give a 10 day carb nite a try.

SakecatMemberI just wanted to update this MY BF% scale shows 25.2% down form 25.3% today and I have seen A marked drop in weight from 236.2 to 234.8 a little over a lb I did how ever have some concerns that this is water weight.By taking the weight and getting a hard number for my BF then subtracting the difference I lost just under .6 tenths of a lb in body fat. If this is accurate I am left wondering where the othe .8 lbs came from??? :-

lillywhitesMemberSakecat,I've used BF% scales...Hand Held units (Omron), and used Calipers. By far the most accurate of the three are calipers, which are within 1.5% of a DEXA scan. The scale was off by 5-10%, the hand held unit off by 3-5%. Accufitness 3000 Calipers on Amazon are cheap, and you can do either a 1-Position, or 3-Position measurement, I have yet to see any real difference between the two. The scale seems always out-of-whack, no matter if you're obese, or ripped. The hand-held is accurate if you're in-between ripped and super morbidly obese, whereas the calipers are accurate the more ripped you are, as it is easier to define sub-q fat from muscle. As for your weight. Every 1 gram of Carbohydrates requires 3 grams of water, at approx 450gms of water to the lb, if you shed 150 gms of Carbohydrates from your body, you'll lose 1lb of water.
