CainoParticipantas you can see though tex, this is not a new breakthrough article, he even said it was tried in the 90's it just takes one figure e.g kiefer to make it the worlds next best thing

jimbo40MemberFrom the research I have looked at the brief preliminary conclusions I have made about nicotine are as follows:1). It keeps the mtor pathway open by activation of ampk and/or akt pathways. 2) it also increases insulin sensitivity through some of the same kinase activation processes. I can put together the references I have so far to post if anyone is interested

d3spwnParticipantEven Robb Wolf talked about this in one of his podcasts a few months ago.

Dr. Rocky PatelParticipantWhen i met Robb in August, he said he primarily uses it for better focus and concentration. Helps him get more work done. He actually was chewing it when he was doing his talk for Reno PD

steverMemberhah, I remember reading this article. I grabbed a strip from one of my co-workers (who 'quits' every few months and buys a new pouch of drum the next day). although I smoked a few years ago and thus figured I'd have a decent tolerance, the only noticeable effects I experienced were:
- wanting to poop during my workout
- feeling like poop during my workout
not for me, I guess.

koubanatorGuestHell, sometimes I have a dip of Grizzly in while I'm lifting. It's a win/win I guess.

FairyGuestIf you're chewing the gum you're using it wrong. You chew it for a few seconds, then stick it between your teeth and your cheek. The nicotine enters the bloodstream through your skin, not your stomach.

The addicting chemicals are still present in the skoal pouches, so you will have a higher probability of getting addicted. Also, I believe the levels of nicotine are higher. Shugart stated that you have to find your sweet spot (his was around 2g).

TomahawkMemberThe difference is the amount of nicotine. For the purpose we are using it for the gum is ideal. Cigarettes and dip are addictive because the amount of nicotine is much higher. Doing my second run of nicotine gum(4mg piece cut in half), and I had no problem stopping. Although I have never been a smoker or dipper.
