    Superior Nutraceuticals. Get it off of amazon

    Thanks!  I'll try that after I finished with this dog breath poison. 😀

    I have another question regarding the 1 hr PWO wait period before nutrition.Some folks train for 1-2 hours, so that extra hour actually makes a 2-3 hour wait after the first set is done.Does the catabolic process begin immediately after (or as) a muscle group is exercised? Or does it begin more/less after the workout is over (when activity has ceased)?Just curious. 🙂

    As soon as the workout starts.

    I thought the post workout window was when you finish your workout. Not when you begin. Am I wrong?

    That is my read on it. An hour from the last rep.

    “Post workout” indeed means after the workout, not during.My question was mere speculation on the actual time frame of the catabolic process, since (AFAIK?) the reason for the one-hour wait period is to allow the process to continue unabated for another hour before nutrition._

    5000mg=5g, not that much.

    The ingredients have been arriving from Amazon in dribs and drabs,everything here now.Everything tasted OK till the last two things to get here...Stevia and licorice root.I am going to take the licorice root straight tonight before anything else to see if that was the one that wrecks the whole thing.If so,I will bolt it down with hot water like a shot for now on.I am so glad I did not proportion and mix everything up in an old protein container and scoop it out as I had planned.Just a heads up.I am also taking digestive enzymes in a capsule,prior to the drink,rather than mixing this in.Is there any advantage to taking the digestive enzymes several minutes prior to the drink,or just take it at the exact same time?

    The CS messes up the nice taste of my PWO shake….better than leucine but NOT a good taste.  Good thing I need to be in a hurry to get it down anyway.

    I figured out it is the licorice root that ruins the party.In warm water it mixes up like mud(not soluble) and has a terrible sweet and funky taste with a wicked aftertaste that lasts for hours,even after drinking the PWO and a meal and snack afterward.Hand me the toothbrush again,Somebody!Carb Shock has a crazy mixture of ingredients that are used as sweeteners on their own.Stevia is sweet and Trehalose is sweet and both kind of look like table sugar.I was surprised the licorice had a sweetness to it,it has a funky herbal smell in the package,that doesn't give any hint of that.So,none of this is yummy,but I am surprised that none of it bothers my stomach or ruins my appetite.

    Tried CS for the first time yesterday and the taste isn't bad at all. It even has kind of a maplely sweetish smell to it and didn't really effect my PWO shake at all.

    I wonder why some folks experience certain effects and some don't.

    Don't know but it's probably like everything else…we're just all different.What I'm hoping is that you can tell some difference in the long term. This stuff isn't free lol.
