Scope75GuestI didn't feel much but I got nice and warm and had veins running threw my arms all night. Not sure what the big deal on wanting to go hypo after taking CS is all about.

MagParticipantI wonder why some folks experience certain effects and some don't.
I was able to describe the individual ingredients because my mix is a home brew of the listed ingredients.Just giving my review of them, hope it helps somebody.(when I checked on the real stuff it was sold out).As for the licorice root...the species of licorice that he cites in his paper,I could not find anywhere(in the world),my stuff is the same species of licorice root that everyone else has,and the package says":Origin:Egypt".And on the Carbshock label it just says,"licorice root".So far,I am pretty positive about the CS and the timing of it.Let's see how it goes for 6 weeks or so.

Yea I noticed that too. You can't get that certain species of licorice anywhere, however from what I researched, I reached the conclusion that it doesn't matter what species it is. What actually concerns me the most is the amount of Fenugreek extract. It just seems very low to normal fenugreek dosages. There's only 50 mg in a serving of Carb Shock (normal servings are 500 mg to 2,000 mg) and how much 4-Hydroxyisoleuciene are in the extract? I read that Fenugreek is about .5% 4-Hydroxyisoleucine by weight, even if the extract is 100% (I doubt it) 50 mg is a small dosage for an amino acid.I made my own version as well. I am getting excellent results so far with Kiefer's Carb Shock Protocol. I have gotten VERY noticeable body composition changes since starting it, which really surprised me since it was such a small change.

Martin KimpelMemberHey everybody 😉I have carb shock here, but I am not sure if I really understand how to use it.I have expierence with CNS and CBL and have read the notes from the webinar. So instead of the whole PWO-Shake-Protocol listet in CBL 1.0 can I use only one sort of protein (not matter Hydrolysat, Whey, Casein...) powder plus carb shock and then backload my carbs and that's it?Or should there still be any additional Carb-Powder (like Maltodextrin) in it PWO to increase the rise in insulin levels?Thank you very much.

Ibob...how long did you use CS before you noticed body comp changes? My weight has stayed around the same for a month but I'm noticeably leaner just waiting the extra hour before doing a PWO. I only started my CS on Fri so 3rd dose today.

Just the CS with the protein.

Martin KimpelMemberThanks a lot.So, for PWO-Supplementation in future it is enough to have one sort of protein powder plus carb shock (and Creatine if I want to)? That means that I don't have to buy Leucine, Hydrolysate, Maltodextrin anymore?

Do you think this is more from Carb Shock itself, or more the fact that you're waiting an hour post workout?

Yeah I know nothing of the fenugreek, mine comes in an eyedropper bottle(lol),and I put 6 or 7 squirts into the drink, seems like about the amount he was looking for in his.The liquid is real herbally and cloudy looking with junk in it.I'm not sure what body composition means, but if that is your fancy way of saying leaner and harder,I say yes also. But take it easy.Anytime you try anything new,you get a little burst where you push harder with other things or tighten up in some other areas. That's why I figure give it 6 weeks to give it an evaluation.

Richard SchmittModeratorI started getting results from waiting the hour before I had CS. I haven't really started taking CS quite yet, but the differences are noticeable.

StevanParticipantThe CS messes up the nice taste of my PWO shake....better than leucine but NOT a good taste. Good thing I need to be in a hurry to get it down anyway.
Have you tried it over ice? It's still not good but I think it is "less bad".

I meant the protocol as a whole. So I did not control for waiting an hour. Then again, I do not use the actual Carb Shock product.
