Is Carb Nite affective for hypo-active thyroid? Are there any specific tweaks to make it helpful? Does anyone have first-hand experience meshing the two?

Bump.  Anyone?I've been taking thyroid support supplements but am finding that my metabolism/thyroid function is crap on the ULC days.  Been on this program for over a year.  I've read that sometimes adding a small amount of carbs back each day will help.  what is the minimum carb level I can do for CBL?  I re-read the book but there is no minimum carb info.  30g usually spikes my insulin nicely, but I need to keep having carbs every 30-60 mins to keep it elevated.  Anyone try this?  I suppose I just need to experiment.

Hay Jami – move this one to the CBL forum.

with thryoid issues ULC is generally not a good idea.. should do better with at least 100-150g or so of carbs a day

Ok, thanks guys.I'll check in with the CBL area for my question.  🙂100-150g may just be the right amount for my training level (on training days).

I'd agree.  If this an acute condition I would just not diet at all.  If it's chronic, then the modest carb approach is a good idea.
