I am leaving for vacation on Wednesday. Tonight would normally be my CN. Wondering if it would be better to wait and have my CN on vacation? I've been stuck for a few weeks now. Or would it be better to do it tonight and work out hard between now and Wednesday morning when we leave?

Do you have to have carbs on your vacation? (If not have it tonight)If so are you only going to have them on the first day? (If so than wait)Are you going to have carbs more than once on vacation? (If so than wait, then redo intro phase when you get back)

I think I could do ULC while on vacation. I plan to bring some things to keep my morning and afternoon easy. But I probably wont be able to workout much, other than a cardio machine at the hotel. I guess I was just wondering if, since I have been stuck for a few weeks, should I push through and keep on my schedule or would it  be better just to CN all 4 nights in a row and then restart when I return.

Thats all up to you. Certainly not going to help progress but it wont kill you either. I personally dont drink or anything, so I'd have my scheduled CN, and go burger w/o bun for dinner at the restaurant, and bacon and eggs w/o the pancakes for breakfast at the morning buffet haha

I think you should just enjoy your vacation. If you CAN then I would just take a CBL approach and have your carbs at night, fast through the mornings, eat ULC till dinner, eat/drink and consume carbs in the evening, and most importantly have a killer time! Then come back redo the prep phase and get back to your routine.

This has nothing to do with making progress.. but personally.. I'd just say eff it. Vacation is vacation. You need to enjoy your life. Eat your face off, and re-do the prep phase when you come back. And I double that, after seeing you say you've been stuck for awhile. Re-doing the prep phase could be a new kick start for you. So screw it, enjoy your vacation, and get back to business when you're back!

If you base most of you're eating towards the evening I personally believe you'll be fine and more enjoyable.

+1There's been several people who become somewhat stagnate on CNS and they will run a CBL type approach for a little while. So, this could be beneficial for. Mentally and physically.

Thanks for all the great advice! I love the idea of doing a CBL approach and redoing prep phase when I return. Fun, Sun and Sand here I come. 8)

I had a 10 day vacation and ate carbs every day (although definitely nowhere close to the number of carbs I eat on carb night). I drank (in moderation) most of the nights as well. It took me about a week to get back to where I was before the vacation, and for a couple of weeks after that I felt like I was losing fat even faster than before. I think a vacation can help you get past a slump in the diet if you don't overdo it (and you aren't going on vacation all the time). Of course, results may vary depending on how long you have been in the diet and the amount of body fat you have. I am probably about 22%ish body fat and had been on the diet about 3-4 months before vacationing, but I'd imagine someone with less body fat and/or someone new to CN would have to be a bit more careful.

Really I think its dependent upon goals. If theres something pressing that your loosing this weight for than don't. But its not going to set you back to have a week where you don't follow it 100%. Try to as much as possible maybe during the day. But still do a full 10 day prep phase when you get back. Also, if its going to mess w/ you mentally (make you feel like s***) than don't. But id say if you make the choice to go ahead and eat what you want than don't stress it, keep in mind its not going to hinder progress, it will only stop it for X days. Don't go crazy and use it as a vacation binge and you'll be fine either way IMO.
