tbrown1025MemberOk, I can do this. I can the cream with the oil as well, right? Too much fat pre-workout? Also, if I'm taking in fat, then I'm no longer training fasted? There are other threads on this forum where caffeine is the only recommended supp preworkout, and fat should be left out in order to remain in the fasted state. So, is this matter of opinion??

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIf you are training in the morning you will get a larger anabolic response from training fasted.

Naomi once told me to go ahead and have 1 tbsp of coconut oil pre-workout, and it would benefit me, and not hinder my fat burning response.1 tbsp of oil will not break your fast. Have that with 16 oz. black coffee.Cory

CmoMemberHi!!!! I know you from JP:). (bernernewf)Anyway, I have been training with coffee/coconut oil/10 g iso. Over ice!! It's pretty yummy, I like how the coconut oil chunks up in there. I simply cannot train totally fasted. I've tried and I feel miserable...I am paying someone to coach me in PL, he's not a fan of CNS or CBL, or me trying to train fasted:). You train early if I remember, super early? I don't train till around 9 most days. The whey thing is confusing. I have a shake with a couple meals with 10 g iso. I struggle to eat enough to get the protein.

tbrown1025MemberHi, Cmo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So fun to see you here!!! I'm still on the fence with the pre-workout fat; truthfully, I just keep seeing soooo many different opinions on the matter. Plus, I don't like to eat or drink anything first thing in the morning…even water makes me a little nauseaus in the mornings. Fasted training has always felt good to me, but I'm having trouble finding a definitive answer as to whether it's really good for me, especially since I train so early, at 6am.

CmoMemberHey T, it sounds like you're set to go with training fasted if you are used to it and feel gOod doing it. You'll find if you spend too much time on these forums, that the CNS is not as easy as it looks:). Track your food and log it a few times on here so people could critique it. I personally had rather best success when I was consuming closer to 2500 cals a day. But that's a lot of food.
