Jerem_FoeHammerMemberHey guys, just started CBL coming off of CNS. My training is three days a weeks with a day in between and no gym on the weekends. I was wondering since I am clearly going to have more carbs in the week should I start doing more days back to back? I'm just wondering what the Carbs are gonna do on the days I'm not working out and eating ULC.Thanks!Depth before dishonor!!!!

Jerem_FoeHammerMemberP.S I wanna throw in HIIT in the morning fasted after my Back Loads. Is this an issue? Won't I just burn off my carbs for my next session in the gym? This is why I'm thinking about switching gym days back to backDepth before dishonor!!!!

Jerem_FoeHammerMemberSo I kinda answered my own question here. If I do HIIT “Cardio” in the AM. I should take a Post Work Out Shake. Then continue to eat low carb all day up until dinner where I can have carbs. Am I correct or am I wrong?? Depth before dishonor!!!!

What are your main goals?I don't think you need to be in the gym back to back, but a 4th would likely be beneficial.

Well I'm a strength athlete who wants to lose his man Boobs and shave off my belly. I was on CNS but I was performing poorly at the gym. Not bad but I'd hit that wall on my Deadlifts, Squats and over head press a lot sooner. So I read more about the two diets and it would seem CNS is for people who don't get a lot of exercise and CBL is for people who are more active and have a higher demand. Depth before dishonor!!!!

Jerem_FoeHammerMemberI got this way because I didn't control my carb intake. So I'm hoping going back with CBL won't result in a lot of fat gained back.Depth before dishonor!!!!

Well Honestly I would not do any HIIT, and this will go against some people, but I'd do very low intensity cardio.Something like walking, maybe cycling, for 20-40 minutes 2 days a week. You don't really want to get your heart rate high. The negative effects of cardio come from more medium intensity for long durations. Unless you put the HIIT in as a training session like weight training, and therefor have a small backload and such it will wont go towards making you a better athlete. I'd also look into maybe adding a 4th training session in.No, if you do want to add some form of conditioning into your training, I'd look into strongman style work.Sled pulls and drags, farmers walks, yokes carries, max rep for time (generally 1 minute) and medleys. You could either add these into your current training where they fit, or make the forth day an "event day" where you pick 3-4 events and train them.

Jerem_FoeHammerMemberHmm yeah maybe that's what I'll do. Also I was told not to take a whey isolate in the A.M while on CNS but in CBL they want me to take one with coffee and some sorta fat. I'm confused. Sorry for picking your brain, just like to get things set before I make mistakes. Depth before dishonor!!!!

If you are interested in fat loss I'd just have some MCT oil upon waking, then if you don't want to eat till lunch time maybe have some whey and MCT or CO oil 2-3 hours after waking.

Brandon D ChristParticipantAre you doing the cardio for conditioning purposes? If so Chad Smith wrote an article a few months ago on some good protocols. While Trevor's low intensity cardio is ok, I think you want to make sure you stay in the correct energy system for your sport. If you are a weightlifter or a powerlifter, that would be alactic anaerobic. You can find the article here: http://www.jtsstrength.com/articles/2013/09/26/conditioning-strength-athletes/If you aren't doing cardio for conditioning, I would just not do it.

I'm a thrower by sport. But I enjoy the Sleds, Kegs, tires and Sledge hammers because they are fun to do. Only "cardio" I'll do is walk my dog around the block in the morning and 10 mins of up hill tred mill after my weight training.Depth before dishonor!!!!

I would give those tempos a shot in the article I posted.
