From cnet.com:"Trying to lose weight? Breathe into this gadgetBreezing on Indiegogo is a portable metabolism tracker that guides you toward your weight loss goal by telling you how many calories you need.February 4, 2013 10:42 AM PSTBreezing measures oxygen and CO2 levels to tell you how many calories you need to burn.Did you indulge at the Super Bowl party last night? Maybe you're still trying to work off the excesses of the holidays. Well, here's a dieting tool that's quite breathtaking -- literally.Created by four Ph.Ds, mostly from Arizona State University, Breezing is a portable device that measures your metabolism using a method called indirect calorimetry. It analyzes your rates of oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production. You breathe into the mouse-size gadget that contains a sensor cartridge. It gauges your resting energy expenditure (REE), the metabolic rate indicating how quickly you're burning calories at rest. If you're trying to slim down, the faster the better. It also tracks your respiratory quotient, showing whether you're burning carbs, fats, or a mix of both. The data are transmitted to your smartphone or mobile device via Bluetooth and displayed in a Breezing app, Natch, you can send all that info to all your friends via e-mail or Facebook or whatever, should you so desire. The gizmo is touted as the first of its kind in the world, and the developers are emphasizing the importance of metabolism tracking."For most people, 70-80 percent of the calories you burn comes from metabolism -- not exercise," the campaign page says.Breezing is being offered for $250 in an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign that hopes to raise $100,000. Advertised delivery is May 2013.But that $250 only gets you 10 sensor cartridges and each is only good for one use, according to the product specs. A pledge of $400 will get you the Breezing device, extra mouthpieces, and 40 sensor cartridges. So you'll have to keep buying cartridges to use it. Still, if the thing works and actually helps you lose weight, paying several dollars for extra cartridges would seem worth it."http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/breezing-portable-metabolism-tracker?c=homeIt is not a gadget that I will be buying.  I was just passing on info on new technology.

Sounds like BS to me. Get an emWave. The only gadget I know of that will help you lose weight long term.

Sounds like it is supposed to work similarly to the devices they use in university/medical labs to determine your RMR/BMR.  Not sure how the at-home device and mobile linking to whatever site contains the actual software compares in terms of accuracy to the lab version, though.Interesting, however.

there is one more natural way to lose weight. there is pressure point on the body that improves metabolism thereby burning more fat. press and release the point exactly between your upper lip and the middle of your nose. do this for 1 min every day
