Just my two cents about being bothered by PTs and bros in the gym.Be more flamboyant, and nobody will ever come talk to you cept to tell you how batshit crazy you are, in a good way.

Flamboyance is sometimes a problem, then you have to start answering questions. For instance no one understands why I use 25lb plates for my bench press, or why I Do standing Strict Press, why I would walk outside of the squat rack to squat bellow parallel, and most important, why do I bring baby powder to the gym, and make such a mess.... I had to switch to liquid grip.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I hate listening to music in the gym so I just put in earphones and don't listen to anything haha works too! It's a nice way of ignoring people.

Lately I made some MP3s of CT fletcher doing some serious talking, I listen to this man as I lift. Other times the earphones just bother my concentration and I just toss them out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

That's him, and he calls pussies pussies, when he refers to them he isn't fucking around. The man is serious and talks some sense. He is hilarious yes.Now on another note, whenever I want to crack up laughing for uncontrollable laughter.... I watch Luimarco's videos.Luimarco literarily says he is "diced down to da sox, on a daily basis, baby please"You have got to watch some of his bicep videos. You just have to.I don't hate on Lui as he has accomplished his goal and the guy actually does some lifting, but he is just too funny.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Lol that's awesome your listening to these in the gym. I wonder what the people around me are listening to sometimes. I bet there's some weird shit going on in those earphones!

Well I never cared, there is plenty of weird shit going on in my gyms.I go to three different LA Fitness locations. Now lets face the fact LA Fitness is no more than your typical Starbucks with weights.I see people with gym bags pulling out notebooks, iPads, pens, soap, and a bunch of all kinds of weird shit. They spend more time on their gym bag and their cell phone than in the gym itself. There is always a very tall man in every gym. One who dresses like either Michael Jackson or is half naked lifting some kettle bells and running from place to place, dancing and doing the weirdest shit. Then you have the grunter, who has a different grunt for every exercise, and he must get your attention, sometimes he cannon complete his set because he is grunting too much exhausting his energy to lift the weight. And it goes on.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

I work at a gym, it's more of meat head place. But we have our weirdos, but they don't last long. My gym is like a big family.

Which is very nice, you never need a workout partner because someone you know is always there to push you or give you a spot. Also there is a general respect, to stay out of each others hair unless you seriously need some advice.

That's odd. The only times people came to talk to me was either to ask for advice on growing a pair of balls or to congratulate me for doing something retarded like rep out with 245 pounds hanging from my waist on dips haha. The only time I had problems like you describe is when lifting in my University gym with a bunch of future PE teachers who felt threatened that I was a bigger jerk than them and thought it was their duty to give me form advice or ask me to not bang my weights. That lasted about two weeks during which I always asked them how much they could lift every time unsollicited advice came my way. Go teach someone else bosu ball core exercises or something 😛 I will happily answer questions from anyone looking to learn something and improve, but if it's the other kind of question, I am quick to put on my troll suit. You can't really control the fact that people will be curious/intrigued about what you are doing if you lift in a commercial gym. Those places breed mediocrity, after all.

Well, at LA fitness you are not allowed to drop weights, they gym police will quickly run over and tell you to stop. Usually some random guru. They told me the other day the gym floor was not designed for dead lifting heavy weights, that there were people working below.Since when my concerns involve who works or sleeps under a gym I attend? I quickly called corporate and they fixed the problem.6 free months my way, plus advice on going to another local LA gym close by where the floor was an actual floor on the ground and not above 50 offices.Very few guys will take advice, they will ask you a question and will not follow your advice, because it simply contradicts what their friend told them or what they read everyday. Haha that's awesome dude. Props for getting the situation fixed. Kinda sucks that gyms for serious lifters are rare, but it's understandable. Most people go to the gym to feel good or whatever. They have really commercial gyms here which cost about 100 bucks per month, and there are barely any free weights. Only a ton of pools, machines, cardio stuff, steam baths and all kinds of advanced gadgets so people can pamper themselves. It's horrible, I would much rather get an infection from the amount of rust that covers everything in my ghetto gym, at least I can really train undisturbed.

At the gym I work at if your doing curls at the power rack, you will be bitched at haha. Plus I have to sweep the 1inch of chalk dust up from every station.

@ipcheck,Do you find you have to be more moderate with your backloads to not gain bodyfat since you have 6 of them a week? Also, if overtraining isnt a thing, why the off day on sunday? Also, why not do 2 hours in the gym instead of two one hour sessons in the gym? Seems like it would save on travel time and shower time... again, if there is no overtraining.
