bobbitt81MemberI'm trying not to be an ass out of this. Kiefer gives us so much amazing content for free, but I'm REALLY frustrated that we got this WEAK gym etiquette article, and part 3 has disappeared from any mention.I don't feel like it's unfair to be frustrated by that.
I try to steer away from the 'entitlement' mentality whenever I can and thus remain grateful for whatever tidbits come our way, especially when its for free. However, I think in this case specifically, it is all about setting expectations. When you have such a grand build-up ending with the statement, "So, want to know how much creatine to take and which kind is best? Come back next week. Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel," one feels let-down and a bit like a sucker for coming back (and back, and back) as instructed. Think: Lucy snatching the football back off the tee as Charlie Brown rushes forward, leg in motion, then... <> and the naive kid never catches on.
Right on. I work hard to stay away from that too, but I'm with you, having something promised and not delivered is just tough to stomach, especially where, in the professional world, that's a big liability. I'm not even being whiny, I just think this stuff is awesome, and incredibly helpful. It's been a game-changer for me. I just don't want anyone to get turned off by something like this.

Brandon D ChristParticipantI'm sure Kiefer will release it. Did he ever promise it on a certain date anyways? You can't really complain, it's not like you are paying for the creatine article.

bobbitt81MemberI know…that's why I hesitated to even say anything. I feel whiny for complaining about not getting free content that takes a lot of time to research and get right.I felt like the "Same Bat time, same Bat channel" thing was a promise that it would be delivered the same day, the next week. I just got my hopes and was disappointed.

Go HeavyParticipantAlso it could be that maybe Keifer stumbled on some new information like in the IF series and had to add/ readjust some of the things he's writing about as well. Quality information is worth the wait.

paul.springtimeGuestI believe that when a person reaches a certain level of popularity and a following, he assumes a greater responsibility to those who believe in his recommendations. Its just the right thing to do. So its not whining to expect someone to at least be transparent and forthcoming. People are doing things that impact their health and well-being based upon Kiefer's philosophy. So if there is an issue with creatine that should give us pause, the right thing to do is to say something like, “hold off, I'm rethinking my position and don't want to come to a premature recommendation”.That's what I would do.Paul

Go HeavyParticipantThe thing with creatine is that it's so researched already that the harm thing..the worst that's gonna happen is runny shits lol. What everyone here I believe is looking for is optimal timing, dosage and method of ingestion for their needs. To make the most of this super powder.

Gl;itch.eMemberYeah I doubt theres any new research that would Kiefer pause. If there were then itd mean a lengthy wait as he'd have to test run the new recommendations to see if they pan out. Im guessing its either been forgotten in all the move madness, they thought its already been posted, or they are building suspense on purpose. In the latter case there'd have to be something pretty substantial to it!

bobbitt81MemberWhoohoo!Looks like I've been wasting an ass ton of creatine by taking it before I have my coffee in the morning, and by throwing it in with a morning shake that has a little coffee in it.I'm a morning trainer, so I'm gonna have to rethink that.Any ideas on which is going to boost performance most in the morning: coffee or creatine?

FairyGuestDo you guys drink creatine straight with water? How does it taste? (Mono)
February 19, 2013 at 2:26 pm #141672
bobbitt81MemberI do it straight it up in warm water. It doesn't have a taste.

pjaszewskiGuestGreat article, but one thing really surprised me: no creatine with coffee. That seems to be completely opposite to the CBL AM Accelerator shake. Any thoughts on that? Is it a waste of time then to do the creatine in the AM with caffeine?
February 19, 2013 at 2:35 pm #141669
FairyGuestI think the idea is you're not supposed to heat it?

More complicated than that. Seems like the presence of caffeine short circuits the system that makes creatine useful in your cells.(From what I've read, using warm water to make sure it dissolves is pretty standard. Undissolved creatine gives some people digestive issues.)
