chriskMemberIve been reading alot of posts and hearing people waking up leaner and tighter after carb nite, all these affects that people have been seeing does not work for me. Im currently on CNS. Ive been following the bulletproof diet for a while now (5 months) and added in some carb nites but my body fat % has not gone down. One positive side is that my gains are increasing but I really want to lose this fat around my gut and it does not seem to dissappear and its quite annoying!heres my daily routine6am - wake up8am - BPC with 50grams of fat10-11am - BPC with 50 grams of fat2:30pm - BPC with 25grams of fat4pm - Train fasted - High intense resistance training4:45pm PWO shake - 60-70 grams WPI/10g Creatine - Still waiting on my leucine5:30 - 6 - Grass fed beef with veggies730 - 8pm - Same as before - getting over 100g of protein from my two dinnersI fast all day because i feel alot better and i train alot harder and also for fat burning reasons!

Depends whats at home. I also do HIT wednesday and saturday! Any suggestions, been doing this for a while and havnt seen any improvements around my belly area! Thanks"This is your diet from 11/18/2012You need to give your body some time to adapt to the changes your making. Also drinking BPC all day long with fat is not giving your body enough quality protein to achieve any muscle growth, there for shed body fat.

I get all the fats i need during the day and all the protein i need at night after training? Is this a bad way to do it? New to how it this all works, sorry!

kcarolhxwParticipantI can relate (I think). When I started backloading, I felt amazing all the time…now I'm trying out more of a carb nite type deal, I don't get that feeling much at all unless I have a carb nite and I lift beforehand. The low carb days just don't do it for me, and I wake up feeling, I guess the word is “flat”? I just don't feel like I ate enough. And all the protein and fat I have to consume to make up for calories sits like a damn rock in my stomach. It's a work in progress I guess.

thestiffmeisterParticipantGoing low-carb for a couple days in a row will leave you feeling quite flat and with very little muscle tone/pump, so it's just your mind messing with ya at that point. I think in some people's case, you have to wait a day or two after a CN to look your best. I'm no expert, but it seems like you don't have that many carbs on your CN, or perhaps you are just having too much water with it. Training as soon as you can the next day seems to clear the bloat for me, but one thing always happens. I always sweat like a pig and my muscle swell up/get more vascular. Only the ab region may or may not become a bit puffy/blurry, but I generally don't freak out if I don't have any digestive issues, just wait a day or two and see if you really fucked up.Honestly, even though many people freak out about overdoing it on CN, it's very, very hard to put on fat by having just one spike of carbs a week, no matter how retarded. A lot of that gets wasted as heat/increased NEAT and other processes. I think you are shooting yourself in the foot more if you underdo it, if anything. Some of us retain more water easily too, and it depends on the amount of muscle mass you have to soak up the carbs. Don't worry, CN is pretty much foolproof, though you can tinker with things a little to improve how you look/feel the next day.

chriskMemberthanks for the reply, another question in regards to water. Am i supposed to drink alot of water during the day every day? Do i drink alot on carb nite? With water retention will you drop all off it after your carb nite?

pshannonMemberYour working out a lot on CN. Your body is starving for nutrients from that amount of volume. So whatever you put in is going to be stored for your next workout. Your body cant use the fat you want it to because you just putting more on. A lot of people have seen their best results by focusing on the diet, tweeking it, and worrying about training once they get to an acceptable level.

+1For the love of all that is good in this world take rest days. A minimum of 2, better with 3-4 while on CNS.

thestiffmeisterParticipantThe water comment was really more for digestive/superficial purposes, doesn't really make or break anything but maybe you'll get a better idea of how you did on your CN if you are not holding any extra water. For starters, you should drink a lot throughout the week and also before your CN. Unless you are taking a super-dose of vitamins (like Animal Pack lol), you should always be peeing almost clear. The first bit's just common sense, but on the actual CN, try not to have too much water as it will definitely make it harder to digest everything and it might give you reflux/the look of a whale the next day. Just drink a bit if you are thirsty, but try to have the majority of your fluids in the earlier part of the day. Trust me, you'll look and feel better the next morning, probably thirsty though. I tried having massive amounts of water with my BL or CN and it only gave me bad reflux and I just looked like shit the next day with all sorts of digestive track issues. Again I'd look at your training and other things, the water bit is just what I have found works best for me, but I do carb-load pretty hardcore, pretty fast, so that's another thing to consider.

Yeah you definitely seem to be over training CN man, check out some of the logs on here of successful people on CN like cory who are lifting 3 days a week and HITT twice and getting amazing results, I would say 4 days lifting hard would be the max for a standard CN
