RoadblockParticipantYour just holding a carb baby. As soon as you shit it out your weight will normalize. I only fluctuate a pound or 2.RB

TheDude825MemberIf I go overboard on a backload I stay bloated for 2-3 days! Is there any way to speed the process of getting back to normal? I just left the bathroom and my pants still barely fit around me!

Richard SchmittModeratorTheDude, it depends on what you eat. Dairy can do that! Thats if you drink more than a couple cups or even ice cream. That can cause inflammation and bloat. Even the ULC meals before a backload needs to be looked at as well. The only thing I can recommend is to ride it out and log the foods you eat, how much of it you're eating and how it affects you. Maybe some magnesium-citrate could help get rid of foods in your system. Be careful with it too.

TheDude825MemberI normally eat cottage cheese each evening so I'm not sure it is dairy, but I'm not sure either. Had a bit too much pizza and other junk. I guess just lots of water and HIIT?

Richard SchmittModeratorI'm sure that might help

I have issues with too much dairy, specifically milk. If I drink a glass all is good but 2 or 3 and I am on the toilet all night. But interestingly enough cottage cheese and yogurt have no effect. I was tested for lactose intolerence and came up negative so who knows. To make my point here I think that the cottage cheese contains more casein than whey, which might be why it has no effect on you. Please correct me if I am wrong.RB

TheDude825MemberAll I know is that it sucks walking around feeling like this. Would alcohol be more likely the culprit than dairy?

Haha, no doubt. Providing I stick to liquor and a little beer I always look leaner the next day, but if I have a lot of beer or mixed drinks I bloat like hell.

Richard SchmittModeratorThe truth will set you free! Cut the beer, have liquor or something else than barley/wheat/grains in beer

CainoParticipantVodka soda WATER, with fresh lime lemon, you will be tanked out of your mind, dont quote me but berkhan said in one of his studies it dehydrates you more therefore looking more ripped in the mornin, Now with this alcohol business we allllll want to be told what we want to hear, doesn matter if someone says its bad stubborness will kick in and most like myself will try to find a study that shows its ok e.g martin berkhans guide to alcohol therefore making it ok lol, but if your wondering why you have a problem its a process of elimination starting with booze, dairy, gluten etc Ignorance is bliss
