Punjabi_virusMemberi eat around 6-7 bananas, i always weigh them so 6-7 bananas around 120 gm carbs. i work as manager for hell pizza so having pizza every night is not a problem for me but i try to eat health so i avoid pizza and have it just once or twice a week. I dont mind eating it every night if you recommending it, you have been helping me a lot with my diet since the start of this year and i have seen some pretty decent gains aswel 🙂 i count my calories so today my preworkout macros were- p155/c19/f209(2590kcal). so i finish my workout around 5 and have my first fatless meal at 6.30, after how long can i start eating fatty meals?
Man I hate Bananas! I cant imagine eating that many without vomiting. I wouldnt recommend pizza every night, but definately after some of your biggest workouts. If it were me Id just make a large pepperoni pizza with heaps of cheese and have that as one of your last meals. What oils do you use at Hell Pizza?
we dont use any oil, just base sauce, toppings and then cheese. how about some ice cream around 8 and then last meal around 10.30?

Probably depends what that last meal is. I think Ice Cream is the ideal last meal personally. Anything starchy should be earlier in the backload imo.

If you're just trying to increase your carbs, you could easily do that by dropping in a dextrose/leucine shake at 8pm and 9:45pm. That'd give you another 50-150g

If you are going to eat pizza, ice cream, or any junk carbs then make sure it's within two hours of finishing your training. Always make sure that you are not just eating junk food. Have a lean source of protein as well.

If you want lean gains don't eat junk unless within the two hour window post training. On a no training day keep the carbs clean or you will put on fat.

steve_76MemberI have checked what I've said. This has come from the carb backloading book. Backload within a 2 hour window for best results. If your not training you should still use high GI carbs but avoid junk if you want lean gains. If you're not resistance training the sugar you eat will more than likely be stored as fat. Even the article above confirms that,” carbs can contribute to 40-70% of the stored materials in fat cells.” If you are not worried about fat then eat junk, but you should have a lean source of protein as well. The book says don't eat like a fat kid…so don't. CBL is not an excuse to eat shit all night long every day. Don't forget that your first meal is the post workout shake. One hour later you can have fats(post training).

So you call pwo shake your first meal? coz i thought first meal is what you eat one hour later that pwo shake and that should be fatless and second and third meal could be anything

breenhouseMemberI've always considered the PWO shake my first meal. Depending on the amount of carbs you are personally adding in it could be anywhere from 300-500 calories possibly more. I would hardly consider that a 'snack'.

My pwo shake is around 450 calories(p36/c80) so i can start eating junky carbs an hour later and some clean carbs like rice with chicken and ice cream for dessert before bed

breenhouseMemberSounds good to me mate. This is exactly what I do. I tend to end every backload with Low-Fat ice cream. Damn, damn good. I notice people harp on about 'gluten free' all the time. Whilst I don't really give a shit, low-fat ice cream is quite often gluten free which is a plus if you care about that at all.
