shaerowMemberWell, I checked my waist size at my navel, and I'm now 32 1/2 ” in comparison to 33″, so I definitely think it's a mental trick my brain is pulling on me 😮 I'm astounded, however, I'll still stick to that pattern of doing huge backloads when it is a necessity to keep fat burning hormones at normal/higher levels.
... I don't think I'm going to do very big backloads anymore- here's Kiefer's input, I'm going to follow it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLitmnzsDgs (start at 13:07)Regardless, please neglect my last question
Out of curiosity, what did your backloads look like before, and what are they going to look like now?Like Kiefer has said, the "perfect" amount, what foods, etc. is HIGHLY subjective. I personally have little time to get all my carbs in so the dirtier food is what works best for me. Someone who has 4 or 5 hours may be able to spread it around a bit.It sounds like your goal here is to keep losing fat, and the main objective of CNS is fat loss, so you might want to look into that.
As for my backloads, most of my last one, I'd say, was trashy, although I do like to limit fat (of course not cut it out though), as insulin brings nutrients to all tissues including fat, obviously (fat being the main nutrient that comprises adipose). My last back load consisted of a lobster w/ a thick slice of coffee cake, 3 mini croissants; then 22 fl oz choc. milk w/ leucine and hydrosylate (gluten free), a pint of non fat stoneyfield vanilla frozen yogurt (gluten free), gluten free lasagna w/meat/tomato sauce, 2 honey/dijon chicken breasts I cooked; and last, 22 fl oz. choc. milk w/ leucine/hydrosylate, and 4 cups gluten free Rice Chex, 2 honey/dijon chicken breasts, and a few berries (~10)- but that's because I haven't had any berries for weeks, and I kind of missed them).I also took fish oil and vitamins during the leucine doses, viewing that insulin would help bring these nutrients to cells- muscle in particular. The back load lasted from 9:30 to 11:30 at night, after finishing my lift and my post workout shake/bananas at 8:40

That hardest thing to learn about CBL is to drop what you "think" you know or have been told. You ate all of that food in 2 hours?! There is no way in hell I could pound down that amount of food, so props to you.Numbers don't lie, so try hard to break the tricks your mind is playing on you...great progress so far.

Thanks, and I've been acquainted to the thought that "carbs are the devil" for a long time prior this diet (I was on high protein/ulc for an immense amount of time- about an entire year, however, little did I know that gluconeogenesis from protein was still giving me a glucose source until just a few months ago, which made me realize the high protein diet made that backfire, hence I was still stuck with the "insulin hips/love handles"). And yeah, it's not fun cramming all that into my gut in that amount of time haha, it hurts. Also, I used to overtrain, obviously. A LOT. So I'm still trying to lose the cortisol gut
