    Is your strenght progressing?

yes, pretty rapidly actually.ive been dieting/low carbing for a long time before i started CBLing though so i dont really have a good comparison. my lifts are pretty damn close to when i was 11 kg heavier (end of my bulk) though which is awesome!

What about us dudes that are around 175-180 and looking to lose BF while getting stronger. I know Kiefer states that there is more area under the curve for people with more muscle.

im currently experimenting with alternating 2-3 weeks of CBL with 1 week of CNS to achieve faster fat loss while maintaining / increasing strength and muscle mass. i think this could actually be beneficial, also to keep your body efficient at using fat as main fuel. we'll see how it goes. im excited to see my "dry" carb depleted weight. tomorrow i'll begin my CNS week after 3 weeks of CBL SA. before that i did 1 cbl/cns cycle, i think it was 2-3 weeks of CBL and 1 week of CNS too.last / lowest dry weight was 73,6 kg, weight today was 76,9. last time i lost 9 pounds during the 7 day CNS, so i think im gonna get below 73 kg this CNS-stint.good thing is that after about 3 weeks of CBLing my junk food cravings are pretty much all satisfied and i kind of miss my fat/protein and diet foods. eating those for a week usually gets my cravings back though, so i go straight back to CBL 🙂 ill keep you updated how this mixture of CBL and CNS works!

I follow an AD template and I've seen the same thing when my carb loads are jacked up (Around 2500g of carbs).

The more posts I see like this, the more I'm starting to think we don't eat enough. I've kinda discovered similar results. If I just straight kill it at the dinner table I seem to drop weight and stay strong. If I slack off I tend to feel jiggly. I love eating more.

I have been CBL for quite some time now and when I started with Kiefer his response was "You are not eating enough on the backloads".  I really thought I was pushing it but apparently not enough.  Right now we are implementing little bit of CBL and CarbNite.  I am having more carbs than I ever have and getting harder every day.  For you heavier muscled guys out there, go overboard first to see how you respond versus slowly adding in more and more carbs to see where you should be.  The response you get from that will tell you a hell of a lot more than 10 weeks of slowly adding more carbs in and spinning your wheels.

I would say you have less room for error compared to someone with more mass.  But OVERBOARD can be kept in context with the person it concerns.  There are a few factors that would play into how I answer though.  1) What are your current stats?2) What does your current training split look like?3) What are you doing now diet wise and how is it working for you?If you are currently backloading and are getting stronger and tighter every day then you obviously don't need to adjust.  If you are just starting out, have some training experience under your belt and have a period of 2 - 4 hours when you can cram carbs in then I would say go balls to the wall for that period, note what you eat, and how you feel the next day.  If you wake up bloated as hell, feeling lethargic, and the weight gained from the backload doesn't drop back down in a few days, then you have a few things you can tweak:1) If you haven't already, start implementing no carb days on off days.2) On your last training day of the week (assuming it is Friday) have a PWO shake with 40 to 80 grams of carbs and go no carbs the rest of the night.  Kiefer has confirmed the carbs PWO do go towards refueling the session for the day, but there becomes a certain point that the backload's intention is to fuel the next workout.3) Start lowering the amount of carbs in your backloads. The main thing Kiefer has stated a number of times to me is to keep note of how tight you feel the next day.  You should not feel bloated the next day. Based on this I know how to adjust for the next backload.  Life has so may factors that come into play that how I backload is constantly changing based on the feedback I get from the previous couple of days. There are a few more things to try but I can't give everything out as I'm sure Kiefer will mention it in future articles or book updates.

yeah this is it.my biggest backload consisted of half a gallon of ice cream, 1 pound seminola pudding, 1 pound rice pudding, some chicken with BBQ sauce, some of this chemical water ice stuff (i love ice cream :P) and 2 microwaved packs of rice, chicken and sweet/sour sauce.i destroyed this in 3 hours.next day i woke up with veins below my abs and stomach flatter than ever...EVERYTIME i cut back the carbs to 300-350g i was bloated the next day. CBL just totally contradicts EVERYTHING i ever observed in this sport... but it works.

wait - 2500g carbs in a 24-48 hour carb load? dude, youre a hero lol

I think a lot depends on your level of insulin sensitivity too.  If you are somewhat insulin resistant, you will not be able to handle as many carbs without gaining fat.  Unfortunately, that means slower  muscle gains as well.

I think this thread is one I really had to read. I have had strength gains but no weight loss so far. I eat around 350g carbs a night. Tonight I will stuff my face after my leg day. I guess I was just scared to over eat more than anything. Being a once, fat person I am scared to binge eat back to those days, but looks like I have to binge eat to get skinny  😮
