Damn. I have to consider the ingredients OF the ingredients, as companies don't care to fully explain what's in their product... I'll note that the next time. Might have to get rid of toast crunch  :'( . I still don't think that it's the main cause, though, since I've waited 4 hours after my load to go to bed. But it is most definitely noted

I do know the Fruity pebbles are gluten free and work fine.

Interesting thread!Been experimenting with CBL and have a question.I'm a small guy, 6 feet, 180. Not sure my exact body fat, but I could stand to get a lot leaner. Have a small bulge of fat on my lower abs I need to shred off.I workout in the morning about an 1-1.5hrs after I get up.What do you think my backloads at night should be in terms of carb amounts? My goal is to bulk up a fair bit, but I do need to lean out.I've been backloading with white bread, white potatoes, rice, corn and cereal a lot. I eat the odd ice cream as well.

Awesome threadI´ve been trying this myself.A few days ago I started to go from around 300 to 500-600 gr. carbs at night and I already can see improvements in terms of recovery. However, I am sweating like crazy mostly during and after my backload. Anybody experienced this? It´s like every single backload and the more carbs, the more I sweat (trouble falling asleep sometimes). I´ve read that one get used to it.So I am going to monitor my weight and appearance for the next 2 weeks

@KenSanderStart high, very high. 500-600g carbs. Most people (as you can see on the previous pages) seem to do better with high amounts of carbs, both in terms of fat loss but also in terms of muscle gain.

I sometimes have trouble getting to sleep, because my resting heart rate is way over >100bpm and im sweating profusely. If its hot outside this is amplified by x10. Even though I stop eating a good 4-5 hours before going to bed my heartrate is often still elevated when I try to sleep and I wake up with a sticky chest and puddles underneath myself from sweating.I guess a lot of carbs get evaporated as heat or your body is just working overtime during and after the backload. Kind of sounds like the effects of DNP  😮

That´s exactly how I feel during my backloads  ;D and I stop eating at least 3 hours before bed.Let´s see if my body will adapt to it in the next few weeksBtw you might wanna check your pm  😉

Some really good tips on this thread , I drink a lot of water but I didn't know these little gems of information from zewski. I thank you. Also jizzmo, I think everyone pretty much hates you right now, great results man you really go for it. But more importantly I think you've really inspired people to go for it with backloads myself included. People seem to be getting better results because of this. I've noticed and probably only because of your posts that under eating the carbs can have just as drastic results on your physique over night in similar ways as overdoing it. I mean I was getting sloshy and watery from not having enough carbs, thinking I had too many carbs I would pull it back even more. Then I seen your post and I just went mental ever since eating absolutely everything. Guess what? Far better results.Just go for it everyone. What is the worst that could happen? Seriously if you did over do it you could fix it in day's.

I´d like to give an advice. When I first started CBL I intuitively overdid it and bloated. Back then I related this issue to the amount of carbs I ate, but now I know better.I actually overdid it with sodium, the food was spiced way too much with salt so I bloated because of the sodium in my food and not of the amount I ate.I´ve already tested this and through eliminating table salt and integrating bananas/tomatoes/avocados occasionally I was able to indulge 600 gr carbs without bloat.Hope my experience will be of benefit to you guys.

Interesting... electrolytes to help digestion and muscle function perhaps?...On a side note, woke up entirely drained of energy today, will do a big backload after I lift

yes, it is most likely the balance between sodium and potassium (homeostasis). So I basically removed all table salt and added potassium, helped me a lot.

I'm a lot smaller than most of you, and I had about 5-600 g the day before yesterday. It's hard to know exactly how many carbs because of the cinnamon buns which were baked in the store and had no nutritional info, but anyways.I decided to drink a lot of water this time because even though I looked better last time doing a dry load, I had digestive issues and water retention two mornings later! So yesterday I had gained about 8 pounds, all of which I lost in less than 24 hours (doing nothing, by the way) and I'm back to looking shredded this morning. Today is another ULC day, so I'll probably be down a pound or two tomorrow before my next back-load. In the past I have noticed this as well, the more I overdo things, the more I have that rebound effect which for me is just as psychological at is is physical. If I overdo it on a back-load, (anywhere between 600 and 1000+ in my case), the next day my NEAT goes through the rough. I literally twitch like an hyperactive asshole and sweat buckets and it's easy to workout like a man possessed. Also, feeling kinda gross gives me motivation to eat low-carb for a while, and I end up losing the weight very quickly. I think you lose a lot of the extra calories through eat and just plain waste, because otherwise there is no way I could eat 10000+ cals in one sitting and not gain any significant amount of fat. However, when I do a couple more moderate back-loads in a row, I bloat up real quick and feel like garbage, plus I don't quite get to the point where I am satisfied with the amount of carbs I eat, so it's a lose-lose. Sorry for the wall of text, but the bottom line is, back-load big or just go low-carb, extremes work a lot better for getting the most bang for your buck out of this diet/eating style. If you wanna get bigger, do more back-loads, and if you want to get leaner, do more ULC days, but don't be afraid to go wild.

Great sum-up right there ^^^^ I've found since starting Back-loading (didn't even mess around with small back-loads  :P) I've been sweating like a MONSTER during my MMA sessions. If you think about it it makes sense, it's almost like all the food is just throwing coals on the fire. Once you cut back on food (fuel), your body will compensate by turning down your metabolism (bring down fire). The sweet thing with CBL is we get to keep the furnace burning, but due to hormone manipulation all the cals and carbs are only doing what we want them to (fueling growth, promoting fat loss).Stiffmeister (another great name), how spread apart are your back-loads?

That makes sense zewski hadn't thought of it like that. Iv been sweating profusely when training from start to finish but I thought it was the caffeine for some reason. I suppose it's another good indicator your on the right track.

hit 5700 kcals today, 700g carbs. my breakfast was 600 kcals worth and i demolished the other 5100 calories in 1 session over 90 minutes, lol. ate an entire cheesecake (come at me martin berkhan!), some stewed cherry fruit sauce, chicken breasts with crust and a pound of seminola pudding.afterwards i cleaned my room and starting sweating like a maniac which hasnt stopped yet (this was an hour ago).by the way, i just checked my resting heart rate and its somewhere around 15-16 beats / 10 seconds, so my heart rate is close to 100 right now even though im just sitting here.

So you eat all your carbs in less than 2 hours instead of over the course of the night?  You do this every time?
