OK, I had a hydrostatic body fat test yesterday (after a large backload for me) and my bff% was not where I was hoping.Since 5/12/2012 I have lost 4 lbs of fat and put on 6lbs of muscle (according to the test) I am still tuning CBL, and took did take a full week off, two weeks ago.My observations since that start of CBL, none of my pants fit, have gone from 35" waist to some 32" pants.  I can now wear some "tight" fit cut jeans instead of loose fit.  (they are smaller in the leg and hip area)My stomach is flat (which really stands out in the gym btw, many strong guys with belly bumps there) and I can now feel the muscle shapes under the "skin"My double chin is gone and my muscles are noticeably bigger to me and my wife.  My arms "vein" out with very little effort in the gym (which also is quite pleasing).  However, I was hoping for lower BFF (really want a six pack once in my life)My question, stay with CBL SA and keep tuning it or try CNS for a few weeks/months?I am 5' 10" weight around 184 and the stupid test said 17% BF Started at 183 with 20% bf

I don't see the problem with continuing something that has done something that everyone says is impossible. Lose body fat, and gain muscle at the same time! Oh while eating shit

Jeff, Shannon is sooooooo right. Look at the highlighted stats you gave us. This is remarkable considering two months of CBL.  Getting a 6pack WILL NOT happen overnight. Stick with what you're doing it's working GREAT for you. Before I got hurt I dropped 1% BF in one month of CBL without ANY cardio.  Now I'm slowly gonna add cardio  And hope to see results you're having.  have a great day and keep up the good work

My advice to you is just stick with what you are doing till you begin to stall, then change it up to CNS for a couple of weeks and back CBL for a while and so on till you find that “sweet spot”. A lot of people on here are doing hybrids of both programs. Remember, the body sometimes can plateau, which seemed to be my problem on CNS. I belive CBL SA can get you there, but you will have to be 100% in tune with your body and have a solid approach. CNS can get you there faster, and in my opinion its a little bit easier.

I think you will have to continue to tweak as bf comes down and CN/CBL SA will start to merge together

As others have said stick with it. You have made great strides in 2 months of doing a very easy diet to follow. I cant imagine as easier diet with this kind of results. The best of both worlds it is working and it is fun.

The results you have gotten are exactly what Kiefer advertises that you will get. You're doing something many “experts” claim is impossible. I would not be dissatisfied if I were you. If pure fatloss is what you're after though, I would switch to CNS. It's a bit faster, but you won't build nearly as much muscle.

@SkyJeff, I don't know exactly what your goals where, but if you wanted a dramatically lower bodyfat percentage, someone in you position should have done carb Nite.  Carb Backloading is not designed for rapid fat loss.  And as the guys have said, gaining 6 pounds of muscle and losing 4 pounds of fat is incredible in a two months span.

Ya this is what I have noticed. I kind of wanted a little more fat loss, but I wont be complaining about more muscle haha. Switch to CNS if you want faster fat loss. Just dont expect to gain the same kind of muscle.

Personally I have been researching kiefers methods and philosophies for the past month and have bought both books which I believe are pure genius. I started at 230lbs 17%BF on June 1 2012 and am currently 205lbs 10.5% body fat today. I have been following CNS for most of this time and it works wonders. In addition to the diet, I lift 5 days a week, do 1-1.5 hours a week of dedicated brisk walking (sometimes on an empty stomach in the morning) and do 30 min to an hour of hiit with 4.5 min slow walk and 30sec sprints. This week I have changed to carb nite every sixth day instead of seventh and have incorporated intermittent fasting into my routine doing 14-16 hour fasts with an 6-8 hour feeding window post workout. Hopefully these tweaks keep my progress going. I think CNS is more geared toward fat loss than CBL SA but you won't build any muscle and may lose a small amount. If your primary goal is rapid fat loss and your not concerned with building new muscle I would switch to a CNS protocol
