Kirill YunussovMemberThe book says you can get into single digits, at which point you should include a second carb nite in the middle of the ULC period.

i don't see why you couldn't get pretty much as lean as you wanted on CNS.. just the lower you get you may have to start tweaking things around a bit to meet your goals

I think I am going to have to start tweeking, I have been in the 240's for what seems like an eternity. I think the metformin I am taking isn't helping anything and I might have to go zero fat and gluten for Carb Nite.

I was doing some reading on what the latest findings were with the drug and it seems that it isn't letting my liver work like it should on Carb Nite. I am about to drop the meds because I think it's doing more harm than good at this point.

case terrebonneParticipantup date to my metformin intake, it's been about 3 nights since I am off the metformin. Which I read that it takes about 3 days for it to clear your system. Well low and behold I am down to where I should be. Given last week's charting. Saturday will be the true test as that day is my weekly carb night. Then I get to see how much I will gain on sunday morning.

I think he means how lean you can get with Carb Nite "out of the box", that is no modifications or tweaking. I think males should be able to get down to 10% without any sort of calorie manipulation beyond just eating to satiety. Women should be able to get down to 15%, maybe leaner if they are willing to do the same amount hypertrophy focused weight training as men.

i see yea I agree with that.. getting any lower really takes some extra effort and tweaking...

Thats what I meant out the box, Hypertrophy weight training? 5/3/1? I had to take 2 weeks off due to slight injury i didn't want to make worse. I plan on adding creatine to my PWO shake next week.

5/3/1 would be included in that because the assistance work done in that program is for building muscle. Also the + sets are going to cause a lot of hypertrophy.

I see, I am not sure what hypertrophy means.
