I'm not that awesome at answering questions of giving advice. But your carb nite sounds awesome. And I could totally eat all of it. Enjoy

On the dangerouslyhardcore.com website, the article about high-tech information with a jacked up lifter on the cover written by Kiefer explains why to have a low/no fat carb/protein meal at first. Then having desserts later on. I don't have the link on my iPod sorry.

I think this is the link Big Tex was referring to:http://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/1733/hi-tech-nutrient-conversion-lessons-for-carb-back-loading/#more-1733

Thanks for the link.  I just read it. It helps me to share and confirm what I learn:.Kiefer says in this article:"If the goal is absolute maximum fat loss, the back loads should be staged with the least amount of fat in the earlier meals and should be “fat back-loaded” during the refeed. Another way of saying this is that the lower-fat your meals are in the first part of the evening, the junkier they can be in the two hours before bed. ".."To break the ketogenic cycle, we should use as pure of glucose as possible. For example, immediately post training (or the first meal that breaks the ketogenic part of the diet), we should ingest primarily glucose (not sucrose and not honey, as it’s possible that the disaccharides can be more lipogenic than fructose alone[35]). The body fails to convert glucose into fat at any appreciable rate but we should probably avoid ingesting it with fast-acting fats (like MCT) as this has some potential to increase triglyceride storage."So another question that came up with this reading is, "what foods have the highest in glucose with no or little fructose?"  I did a bit of googling and had to figure out if there was a difference between dextrose and glucose.  Then I started to think about what would be better, find a food high in glucose to start carb nite or CBL or find a shake for post workout.  As I continue to read more I'm starting to feel like maybe I'm 'splitting hairs,' and it really doesn't matter.  Anyways I find this interesting.Dextrose is the same as glucose. So would having a post workout shake low in fat and high in dextrose be the way to go?I hope someone out there can piece my thinking together some how.

Dextroseand whey PWO. As much sticky white rice with a portion of chicken for your first “meal” about 30-60 minutes later. That's what I do for cbl, allows you if you so choose, to have higher fat content later in the evening.Baked sweet potatoes are a good alternative to the sticky rice.

That's what I do. 40g of dextrose in my PWO shake.I also have a dinner meal after that, rice or potatoes, but PWO shake it likely your best bet.

You really can't overdo a Carb Nite.  The only thing you will want to avoid on Carb Nite is several servings of soft drinks, but you could probably get away with one or two.  I personally would not worry about going low fat in the beginning of the Carb Nite.  Try it if you want to, but it really isn't necessary.  The low fat in the beginning is a tweak that really won't have a noticeable difference until your fat loss REALLY slows down once you start to become very lean.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
