CainoParticipantThe nore i read through these forums the more it looks like its geared towards bidybuilding and getting big, Now i have no problem with that but is there anyone out there rocking the program doing weights snd something else, for example im doing muay thai and weights 3 days per week, also anyone doing a good hypotrophy program? Im looking at 531 with the BB template off Wendlers site!

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIt's about getting big, but also about getting strong. It can help you muay thai game with the extra energy, being able to be leaner (depending on where you start from) and working to have more power production. If you are looking for a good, purely hypertrophy program, I've heard good things about Keifers CBL HD program, I'll be starting it in November myself.

CainoParticipantSo this is different to shockwave? Ive read the book but i forgot we dont want to totally burn out our CNS before the backload do we like what crossfit does? Yeah i just been going theough this forum heaps and alot of ppl are bodybuilders on CN and sometime CBL and im starting to think that to eat whats prescribed on a backload you definetly have to have your training geared right!!

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorIt is different then shockwave. It uses some some of the ELECT and PSR you see in shockwave, but it's more for hypertrophy.Shockwave as it is given to us is great for CNS, but it requires you lift heavier loads on you 4th and 5th set of 3 reps to work well with CBL.If getting your muay thai game better is your mail goal, something like 5/3/1 would be awesome, if hypertrophy is your main goal there are plenty of good programs, but the CBL HD would be a good place to start.
