Kiefer says that if you train in the morning you should backload the day before. If I train at 9 a.m. is this the same as 6a.m. - still backload before? To me it does not make sense, since glucose transporters are long gone and hidden after last workout for example 2 days before. This backload is just pure insulin raise, nothing more - it does not refill your glycogen with glucose transporters, probably it refills you in 'standard manner' (I am not that deep into that, sorry, any correction would be apprecieted  :<). So wouldn't it be more beneficial if I backloaded few hours later?

It will refill glycogen stores. If you're low carb most of the time and you're training on top of it your glycogen probably will never be fully topped off. Back loading the night before ensures that you're as full as you can be going in to the workout. (or at least that's how I understand it)

Okay, so on normal schedule you're not as full as possible? Then why do not backload always the day before?Kinda confusing ; p Main purpose of CBL is geting advantage of t-glutes.Also - herehttp://www.dangerouslyhardcore.com/665/caffeine-therapy/Kiefer says he backloads same night when he lifts in the morning.

You backload the night before an am training session because it causes a greater insulin response in the pwo shake.Sounds weird but theres like a insulin memory. So without that carbload the night before you wouldn't get that bigger insulin spike thus not as anabolic.

It has less to do with glycogen and more to do with the “insulin memory” effect.  If you get a big insulin spike then fast and have a little bit of carbs, the body will “remember” the insulin spike from the night before and give you a big spike from just a little bit of carbs.  This is where the anabolic benefits from fasted training comes from.  It only works if you had carbs the night before.Yes if you train at 9 am it is the same, as long as you are fasted.

+1You can also read chapter 43 in the book.  Do most people read the ENTIRE book?  I'm starting to think most people don't...

Yep the post interview podcast, Kiefer mentions this. It's the laziness of people. If they get the information without actually looking/reading for it, they wouldn't care as much. It's all this give me give me crap.

I don't get it, when I bought CBL, I couldn't put it down.  I read the whole thing (very critically I may add) in three days.  I guess some people just don't care about the mechanics and just want to know what they are supposed to do.

CBL is a book you can read 3-4 or 5 times in a row I think.
