ladennifer_jadanistonMemberSo I've been doing CNS with 5/3/1 for nearly 8 weeks and I've been really liking it. However, I'm interested to see what some other programs might offer. Does anyone have any experience with Jon Andersen's Deep Water method? I first heard about it on the webinar and seems like something I might be interested in. Of course I got the e-mail about Mi40x this morning, but it seems geared more towards bodybuilding than strength training. I know there is no secret program, but I was wondering if anyone on the forum is seeing great results from something I haven't yet considered.

Brandon D ChristParticipantI know 5/3/1 can get boring and monotonous, but most strength oriented plans do get pretty boring. In my experience, the fancier you get with training, the less results producing it is. This is especially true if you don't know much about programming. Are you bored with 5/3/1?

ladennifer_jadanistonMemberI'm not bored, no. 5/3/1 fits really well with my schedule and I'm seeing steady, injury-free gains. It allows me to get my HIIT in and not affect my lifting. Hm. Sounds like I'm pretty happy with my free effective program. Maybe I should just stick with it.

Brandon D ChristParticipantYea I mean if you like it and it's working, then why change?

ladennifer_jadanistonMemberNo reason except to tinker for tinkering's sake. When I see a plateau, I'll revisit this.

earlyriserMemberGot bored with 531 here and giving Deep Water a try. Challenging for sure and DOMS for the first time in a while.

Jim Wendler has posted a few different variations of 5/3/1 on his website and T-nation I've done a few of them, keeps with the same theme but has some differences.

Have you any experience with this? How is the program scheduled?
