Hey everyone, great info here. My question is this...........from what I read during the elitefts posts and on here, CBL is for FAT LOSS mainly......and Im totally with that. Now, does the effect of the fat loss have effect on losing body weight as well. The reason I ask is because Im getting back into competitive powerlifting again and want ot do a meet soon, now during that time I need to get down to the next lowest weight class, 181 lbs.................Im 198 lbs now, so I have some work to do. I ofcourse want to spare muscle since I need it to keep my numbers going up. My current BF is like 22%, and I have been on CNS (actually doing it right) for like a little over a month now and I LOOK better, but weight is not really coming down as I had hoped (dont know if my Carb Nites are too much, or maybe I need to push the days to 10 days instead of 7). If I eat alot of Carbs, Im bloated for DAYS................seriously, maybe I should switch to gluten free stuff. Mainly Im just fed up with looking soft, need to get the jacked look and get my strength up. So I ask again, how does CBL fit into weight loss, and is it achieveable during the protocol?

CNS will give you the fastest weight loss.  The CBL weight loss is very slow, so it really isn't appropriate for someone in your situation.  So I would say stick to CNS.

Agreed.  When you do hit your target weight CBL will help you maintain that weight though.

Sorry @ legion for highjacking your thread, but since my question goes into a similiar direction:Would you also recommend CNS to someone like me (PL, about 25% BF, 5"9, 235 lbs) who is aiming for a maximum preservation of strength while loosing BF slow&steady (i´m talking about at least 6 months)?I`m just freakin scared of loosing power while only backloading once a week, so CBL looks just so affecting to me.Thx in advance,BR DanielEDIT:@legion: Did you notice any strength loss in the last month following the CNS protocol?

CBL Strength Accumulation will get you there. Maybe run CNS for a couple of weeks maybe, and then run into CBL?Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
